💫 You don’t truly realize the importance of having incredible partners until you find yourself developing a software and hardware-based medical device—one that integrates sensors, AI, a user interface for doctors, and cloud-based intelligence. It’s a complex challenge, but with the right partners, it becomes an exciting journey. 📅 Last week at 4YFN (MWC 2025), we connected and celebrated the amazing collaboration that drives our mission forward. A huge shoutout to our Partners in Mission—Perdigó Medical, Qualud, and CMG MedDev—with whom we exchanged some ideas and shared a well-deserved celebration afterward. Breast cancer prevention, as easy as a pregnancy test.
Sobre nosotros
Women lack reliable breast cancer (BC) screening methods, as 50% of BCs are detected in a late-stage. At The Blue Box, we've developed a radiation-free, pain-free, low-cost device detecting BC in urine with 88.33%. This outperforms mammography by 15% across all age groups and by 30% for women under 50. By 2025, we aim to introduce this solution in gynecology clinics through a software-driven business model.

¡Seguimos! 🚀 cc: Júlia Solana Balaguer, PhD

Today, on #WorldCancerDay, we want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Asociación Española contra el Cáncer (the Spanish Association Against Cancer), our partners-in-mission! 📅 Founded in 1953, AECC's mission has always been to ensure that cancer treatments are accessible to those in need. Two decades later, they became pioneers in establishing early-stage breast cancer screening programs in Spain. Both organizations recognize that screening increases survival rates and optimizes resource allocation, allowing us to study more cancers and help more people. 😊 Through a €150K grant, the AECC is supporting us in advancing towards a more effective early detection of cancer. In addition to providing funding, the AECC promotes oncology research through its specialized programs, like AECC Impacto of which we are now part. Thanks to their 70+ years of expertise and a wealth of resources, we are confident that this partnership will drive the success of our device development. 💭 3 interesting websites worth checking out on this important day: 1. The number of women <50 diagnosed with breast cancer is increasing, and this highlights one important point: 🎯 the system must adapt to meet the need for screening women who are currently not being called for testing. 📈 The reasons behind the rise in BC cases among younger women are primarily linked to lifestyle changes: 1) becoming mothers at older ages 2) engaging in less physical activity, and 3) following unbalanced diets that lead to overweight. 🙏 Although we, as women, can take certain steps to mitigate these risks, the need for earlier screenings is becoming increasingly evident. The Blue Box could serve as a valuable tool to facilitate mass screenings due to its low cost and ability to deliver results quickly (~30 minutes). 👇 Read the full article at CBS News. https://lnkd.in/dDtQ26aV

💡 Doctors don’t care about your shiny new innovation unless it helps them do their job faster, smarter, and with #data they can actually use—bonus points if it makes #diagnostics more #accessible to their patients. This and many more hard truths were shared at ✨Health Tech Forward✨ conference last week. Below are our key takeaways! 🎙️ Johannes Blaschke, principal at Calm/Storm: Patient-centric care is critical, but... Are we pushing patients to decide too much when many prefer to rely on their doctor's opinion? Instead, provide doctors with better tools and data to make informed decisions. – An interesting ongoing debate. 🎙️ Madeleine Durand, head of strategy at Bupa: “From fee-for-sickness to fee-for-outcome": #Data-driven, #outcome-based healthcare can cut #costs by 20% and improve outcomes by 30%. Thank you for the great insights you provided after your panel, Madeleine! 🎙️ Amine Benmoussa, Partner at Karista: Generative AI is shaking up healthcare, making diagnostics, treatments, and patient care smarter and more efficient. It’s a huge step toward personalized medicine and transforming how we tackle health challenges. 🎙️ Accessible Diagnostics roundtable with Annie Theriault, MP at Cross-Border Impact Ventures, Anthony Vallance-Owen, Investment Manager at We Venture Capital, Andreas Halner, COO at Oxford Cancer Analytics; and Marina Rigau, CEO at MiMARK Diagnostics: "70% of medical decisions rely on diagnostics, yet millions lack access. Early detection saves lives, but accessibility must catch up to innovation.” Loved seeing top-tier VCs discuss this with our neighbor MiMARK 😉 and fellow pitch competitor Oxcan! 🎙️ Antoine D'Hollander, Investment Director at Capricorn Partners: "The future is not just capturing data, but capturing the right data into the right #clinical #trial" 🎙️ Sílvia Vinyes Roca at DKV Belgium: "Women’s health tech is growing, but still gets just 2% of healthcare venture funding. It’s time to close the gap!" 😎 It was also fantastic connecting with other innovators like Carina Roth, - Helena Torras -, Rubén Molina, Júlia Rodríguez Comas... So great to see you in person! Let’s make early detection available to everyone, everywhere. 🚀 . . . . #HealthTechForward #WomenInHealth #EarlyDetection #BreastCancer #HealthTech #DigitalHealth #MedTechInnovation #Diagnostics #ClinicalDecisionMaking #PatientCare #HealthcareInnovation #HealthcareManagement #HospitalLeadership #HealthTechInvestors #FutureOfDiagnostics #GlobalHealthTech #EUHealth #USHealthcare #AccessibleDiagnostics #WomensHealth #BreastCancerAwareness
