Este lunes, en el marco del #MWC, tuve el placer de participar en un panel donde debatimos sobre Cómo el #VentureCapital y las #startups pueden contribuir a la #competitividad #europea. Hablamos sobre diversas palancas de cambio, pero hay una que para mí es incuestionable: si realmente queremos impulsar la competitividad en Europa, debemos ser capaces de potenciar el #talentofemenino en todos los ámbitos, y eso incluye activar y fortalecer el talento emprendedor femenino. El mundo del Venture Capital no puede dar la espalda a las #mujeresemprendedoras. Es fundamental reconocer y corregir los #sesgos negativos para poder identificar talento y oportunidades cuando estas surjan. Aprovecho para compartir tres estudios clave sobre la inversión de VC en startups lideradas por mujeres: 1️⃣ World Economic Forum (PitchBook): Analiza el porcentaje de financiación que recibieron las startups fundadas exclusivamente por mujeres en 2023, que fue del 2% en EE.UU. y 1,8% en Europa. 2️⃣ Women-Funded Startups (Dealroom): Examina la financiación obtenida por startups fundadas o cofundadas por mujeres en Europa, indicando que en 2023 representaron el 9,6% del capital levantado. 3️⃣ Endeavor España (Dealroom): Estudia el porcentaje de financiación que captaron las startups fundadas o cofundadas por mujeres en España entre 2019 y 2023, que fue del 12%. Estos datos reflejan que, incluso ampliando la definición para incluir aquellas startups donde al menos una mujer forma parte del equipo fundador, aún queda mucho camino por recorrer. En Europa, cerca del 90% de la financiación de VC sigue destinándose a startups lideradas exclusivamente por hombres. XR Health joined our Impact Makers community after merging with a previous startup, Amelia Virtual Care, which was invested in by Ship2B. This latest milestone makes us very happy. Why? 🌎 With this acquisition, XRHealth solidifies its position as the largest AI-driven therapeutic XR platform worldwide and will let it amplify its impact even more. So far, over 2,000 clinicians have used XRHealth’s platform to treat more than 50,000 patients, delivering over 1 million XR therapy sessions globally.
