It was great to attend the #Biocat4value conference in Düsseldorf organised by the European Federation of Biotechnology this year. The conference was very well-organised and provided an excellent platform for focussed networking in the field of biocatalysis. I had the opportunity to present our research on integrated microalgal carbon capture and high-value product generation in mushroom farming. This work is part of Philip Asare Kusi, PhD.'s doctoral thesis carried out in collaboration with Donal Mc Gee at AlgaeCytes. Part of this research was published this year in the Biotechnology Journal: https://lnkd.in/e-Cy4scH.

✨I had an amazing experience at #Biocat4Value conference organised by the Biocatalysis Division of the European Federation of Biotechnology last week! 🎖️ I had the honor of participating as a speaker, sharing ideas and learning from experts in the field. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with passionate professionals and explore the latest trends in #technology and #biocatalysis. 🏆 Special thanks to Dr. Thomke Bergs and Marisa Sárria Pereira de Passos for the coordination, and thank you to everyone who made this event possible! I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned and continue collaborating with this amazing community. #RepsolTechnologyLab #Innovation #Networking #Learning #Biocatalysis #Biotechnology #GreenChemistry #SustainableTech #EnzymeEngineering #BioInnovation #ScientificResearch #InnovationInScience #Enzymes

I spent the last few days in Düsseldorf at the inaugural #Biocat4Value conference hosted by the European Federation of Biotechnology. One of my biggest takeaways was seeing how many different companies across industries are already leveraging biocatalysis to make molecules in a better way. Some of my fellow presenters included biotech leaders from Michelin, Givaudan, AstraZeneca, Repsol, Novonesis, DSM, BYK Additives, Almac Group and more. Definitely a lot of exciting work going on in Europe and I am already looking forward to my next trip back out there. #enzymes #biocatalysis #biomanufacturing #greenchemistry
