Magburaka
Magburaka is a city in Sierra Leone.
Magburaka is the former capital of the north of Sierra Leone. Makeni became the new capital during the war. Magburaka was a stop on the Bauya - Makeni branch of the now defunct Sierra Leone Railway. Some of the old buildings can still be seen. From 2011, there has been a major programme of reconstruction. Roads which were dirt throughout the town have been repaired and resurfaced with asphalt.

[edit]Magburaka is just south of the road which links Makeni to the diamond mining Kono district. There is also a road going south east to Bo.
