Category:Wikipedia naming conventions is for pages that have received consensus as English Wikipedia guidelines to supplement and explain the Wikipedia:Article titles policy.

Naming-convention guideline pages may be added to this category by placing the template {{Wikipedia subcat guideline|naming convention|<category sort key>}} at the top of the guideline page. The template has built-in categorisation – you just need to include the appropriate "<category sort key>". For instance, for Wikipedia:Naming conventions (aircraft) the "<category sort key>" is "Aircraft" (start with capital), thus: {{Wikipedia subcat guideline|naming convention|Aircraft}}.

Pages that have not received consensus should be categorized in Category:Wikipedia naming conventions proposals. For a short introduction on how to go from proposal to guideline, see Category:Wikipedia proposals and the intro of Wikipedia:Article titles.
