BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. As many as 23 initiatives worth 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) have been implemented over the past five years with the support of the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC), the publication of Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov on X said, Trend reports.
“Sustainable development of the non-oil sector, attraction of foreign investments in this sphere, and creation of new enterprises with the application of modern standards and best practices are among the main priorities of Azerbaijan. Over the past five years, 23 initiatives in the food, construction, pharmaceutical, packaging, mining, green energy, and other spheres, including the construction of 19 new enterprises, have been realized with the support of the Azerbaijan Investment Company. These projects, with a total cost of 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) , serve to increase local production, stimulate the production of import-substituting products, and support employment,” the publication of the minister reads.
