Hello, my name is Dávid Štefan (Slovak pronunciation: [daːvid ʃtefan]); my nickname Lišiak means dog-fox in Slovak.
I have bachelor's degree in History from Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (2012–2015) and I'm currently pursuing master's degree in History. My bachelor's thesis – Kolektivizácia na východnom Slovensku na príklade okresu Sečovce [Collectivization in Eastern Slovakia in the example of Sečovce District] (2015) – was aimed on examining the issue of collectivization in Czechoslovakia in 1949 – 1960 in the example of former Sečovce District.
My main interest is history of post-war Czechoslovakia and its role in Cold War conflict. The other areas I plan improving & writting articles on are history of police, history of firefighting, diplomatics relations in Central Europe in 20th and 21st century, and history of Eastern Slovakia, especially urban history of towns in Zemplin region.
I currently live in the Town of Sečovce (Slovakia), where I'm also chairman of local newspapers' editorial board. I have access to State Scientific Library in Košice (search catalog) and University Library of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (search catalog).
