The United Arab Emirates and Sweden Sign Judicial and Legal Cooperation Agreements The United Arab Emirates and Sweden signed two agreements on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi to strengthen judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries. These agreements focus on the extradition of criminals and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice, and Gunnar Strömmer, Swedish Minister for Justice, signed the agreements in the presence of delegations from both nations. During the signing ceremony, Al Nuaimi praised the bilateral cooperation with Sweden and highlighted the strong ties between the two countries. He emphasized the UAE's commitment to enhancing these relations through collaboration in judicial and legal fields. He also reaffirmed the Ministry's dedication to strengthening global legal and judicial partnerships by adopting best practices from courts in friendly nations and fostering initiatives to deepen bilateral ties. For his part, Strömmer expressed his pleasure at visiting Abu Dhabi and signing the agreements, noting the strong judicial relationship between the UAE and Sweden. "We are pleased to solidify this partnership through bilateral agreements in the legal and judicial fields, which we will continue to support and enhance in a manner that serves the interests of both friendly countries," he said.
