Wrapping up our employee spotlights for Neurodiversity Celebration Week, say hello to Tobias Damm Buhl Schamaitat — one of the starters of the SYBO Neurodiversity ERG. ♾️✨ "If we consider us all characters in a game, we all got different stat distributions. Where those who are considered neurotypical have a more similar build, people with neurodivergence have stat distributions that vary a lot, both from the neurotypical and from others that are neurodivergent. While this means people with neurodivergence do often have apparent weaknesses, we also have our strengths. We’re amplifying the voices of SYBO's Neurodiversity ERG — sharing their experiences, insights, and the impact of embracing neurodiversity in the workplace. ♾️✨ "Lately I have been thinking a lot about the story of the turtle and the hare. I think a lot of the time it is assumed that when it comes to neurodiverse weaknesses, that we will always be beaten by the neurotypical. But I don't think that is always true. My autism means that social standards doesn't come natural to me, so I have to become aware of the rules to learn them. I can't take a break on the way, but have to slowly move forward, step by step. And somehow, when doing all this hard work, I realize I not only managed to reach the goal, but even got here before some of my neurotypical peers. Taking what challenges us and turning it into a strength is something everyone can do, even neurodiverse people." #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek #NeurodiversityAtWork #GamesIndustry #SYBO
