This week, we launched our latest Subway Surfers update — a long-awaited return to the legacy destination of Washington, D.C. It’s been eight years since our last visit, and this time, we’re back with an art-inspired makeover, blending iconic landmarks with underground culture. Players can run through legendary sites like the National Mall, while also discovering hidden gems inspired by spots like Culture House DC and the city’s more industrial edge. This season’s characters are straight from the art scene — Rochelle Rebelle, a slam poet ready to drop some bars, and Asher, a mysterious graffiti artist whose tags are scattered throughout the city. #SubwaySurfers #SYBO #MobileGames #VideoGames

Every year, the Subway Surfers team finds a new way to celebrate Pride Month — and this time, we've turned up the volume with our #LiveLoud campaign! We’re shining a spotlight on some of our fan-favorite LGBTQIA+ characters, each showing off what self-expression means to them. From music, to dying your hair, making some art, or crafting the perfect outfit. Huge shoutout to liam smith for leading the charge on campaign direction, Nines Amaro Gómez for the stunning visuals, and Walter Stoerger for the copy across the Subway Surfers social media channels. Though our latest season is coming to a close, Pride is about showing up, speaking out, and living loud — not just in June, but every day. “At some point in the last 13 years, you’ve probably been entranced by the endless runner mobile game, Subway Surfers. It’s been downloaded over 4.5 billion times, still pulls in 150 million players every month, and has over 25 million followers across social.” Our very own Head of Player Experience, Celia Zimmermann spoke with The Publish Press about how social media and embracing creators have allowed Subway Surfers to keep pace with cultural conversations – even 13 years in. How do we do it? ➡️Celebrating UGC. Our Creator Club garnered 430M+ cross-platform views in its first year alone, with some creators including @tmdperkslive streaming the game almost daily. ➡️Taking an entertainment-first approach to content. Our new life-sized mascots of characters Jake and the Guard drove over 400K new TikTok followers in just one month, generating the game’s most-viewed TikTok video to date with nearly 70M views. You may have seen the Guard make a surprise appearance on-stage at bbno$’s concert in Copenhagen last week. 👀 ➡️Staying flexible with the game’s IP. Initiatives like our Craft-A-Character competitions allow fans to play an active role in the game’s evolution, creating an even greater personal connection to the game.
