💬 #Migräne #Zeitumstellung #Chronobiologie #CircadianRhythm #Schlafrhythmus #Neurologie #Gesundheitspolitik #MigraineAwareness #Healthcare #Medizin #Lundbeck

  • 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. Earlier this week, our Head of Neuroscience Morten Grunnet, Prof, PhD, DrSci represented Lundbeck at the “Life Science for Better Health and Innovation” panel in Warsaw,  bringing the unique scientific perspective, while discussing how we can strengthen European life sciences, drive innovation, and improve patient access. The conference was an accompanying event to the ongoing informal EPSCO meeting in Warsaw, as Poland currently holds the presidency of the Council of the EU. In July, Denmark will take over the presidency, and we look forward to working closely with the Danish government on shaping a new European life science strategy. With ageing populations, increasing chronic diseases, and growing global competition, it’s clear that Europe needs a bold and forward-looking life science strategy. The industry plays a vital role - not just in improving health outcomes, but in driving economic growth, R&D, and resilience. Meetings like today’s reinforce our belief that collaboration is key to making this vision a reality. #LifeScience #Innovation #BrainHealth  #Lundbeck

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of representing Lundbeck at the “Life Science for Better Health and Innovation” panel in Warsaw. It was a fantastic discussion on how we can strengthen European life sciences, drive innovation, and improve patient access. With ageing populations, rising chronic diseases, and growing global competition, the need for a strong EU life science strategy has never been greater. At Lundbeck, we know firsthand how critical this is - especially in brain health. A big thank you to my fellow panelists @Nathalie Moll, @Beata Jagielska, @Dorte Bech Vizard, @Rasmus Møgelvang for an inspiring exchange, and to the Embassy of Denmark in Poland for hosting such a valuable event. Looking forward to continued collaboration! #LifeScience #Innovation #BrainHealth #Lundbeck

Welcoming students from Oxford University to Lundbeck This week, I had the pleasure of welcoming Oxford MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise and the Environment students to Lundbeck as part of their field trip to Denmark, exploring how Scandinavian companies lead sustainability transparency on the ESG dependencies of our business. At Lundbeck, we recognize that our biggest opportunity to drive positive change is through our core mission — advancing brain health. It was a privilege to share our approach to sustainability, from stakeholder engagement to the challenges and trade-offs we navigate in the pharmaceutical industry. We also discussed value and pit-falls of transparency and reporting on sustainability. We had asked the students for a critical review of our 2025 Annual Report following the new European reporting standard. Welcoming Laurence Wainwright’s students is always a highlight. Their curiosity, great discussions, and fresh perspectives are truly energizing. Grateful for the visit and the inspiring conversations—thank you to Dr. Wainwright and his students! A special thanks to Simon Graagaard, ESG Data Specialist, Corp. Health, Safety & Environment, for his invaluable contribution to making this visit a success.

Recently, we hosted a conference on how to adapt and scale digital health solutions across Europe. Experts, researchers, industry leaders and innovative digital start ups came together to explore key challenges and best practices on how to adapt and scale digital health solutions across borders. In this short video, you’ll hear about the Lighthouse partnership, its role in transforming public health through digital solutions, and how start ups like Heka VR are benefiting from being part of the Lighthouse. #DigitalHealth #PublicHealth #Lundbeck  Thank you! • 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱—𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 At Lundbeck, our commitment to advancing brain health is built on seven decades of pioneering research. Neurological conditions directly affect half of the world’s population¹ , making them the leading cause of illness and disability worldwide —surpassing both cancer and heart disease.² This underscores the urgent need for continued research and innovation³. The economic impact is equally staggering. The global economic burden of brain disorders is equivalent to 10% of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP)⁴. Seven challenges for neuroscience - PMC, with an estimated $1.2 trillion globally is lost in income by people living with these conditions. This number has increased over time, at a rate of over 5% per year since 1990 ⁵. Through cutting-edge science and strong partnerships (including collaborations with 80+ patient advocacy groups globally), we develop and market some of the world’s leading treatments, expanding into rare neurological conditions from our strong legacy within psychiatry and neurology. While our pioneering research has driven meaningful progress, we recognize that major challenges in brain health remain. As we conclude our #BrainAwarenessWeek series here on LinkedIn, we thank you for joining us in exploring diverse perspectives on brain health—whether through expert insights, personal stories, practical tips, or surprising facts on the broader impact of brain diseases. But our work doesn’t stop here. We continue to drive awareness, foster collaboration, and push the boundaries of neuroscience to create meaningful change—building a more brain-healthy future for people everywhere. #BrainHealth💡🧠💪
