☀️ Summer Break! ☀️ It’s finally time — and we dare to say that Denmark is treating us to almost summer-like weather! So, we’re closing down the studio for the next few weeks to take a well-deserved summer break. This means we’ll be going quiet for a while across all our channels, and all ongoing recruitment processes will be paused until we return. We wish you sunny skies, non-melting ice cream and sweet watermelons! See you soon! With love, The Ghost Ship Games Crew 🫰
Ghost Ship Games
Underholdning
For the big studios, co-op is a bullet point. For us, it is the whole point.
Om os
Ghost Ship Games, founded in 2016 by six industry veterans, is the creative force behind the dwarven mining universe of Deep Rock Galactic. We've also ventured into publishing with titles like Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, SpellRogue, DarkSwarm, Dinolords and Guntouchables. Next up is our second original game, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. Our strategy centers on open development and close collaboration with our fan base. Since the studio opened, we’ve maintained a simple motto: Co-op First. This principle applies just as much to the way we work together as it does to the games we create.

GSG Summer Party Recap! 🍹🎉 Last week, we took a well-deserved break to celebrate summer together — and what a party it was! From guessing fun facts about teammates to hilarious (and surprisingly competitive) challenges, the energy was high and the laughs were nonstop. One of the wildest moments? A contest to see who could hold the longest hug! Crazy, right!? Can you spot the ongoing challenge in the event photos? It was a fantastic reminder that great teams aren’t just built under the office roof — they grow through shared moments, big smiles, and a little bit of summer magic. ✨ #GSGSummerParty #GhostShipGames

Share, suggest, participate! Let's shape education for the games industry together🤝
A long-term educational strategy for the games industry 🕹️ 👏 That’s the promise we have made to ourselves in Games Denmark’s brand new Education Policy Board. It’s a big task, but with such a strong board of educators, developers, and industry leaders joining forces, we can move things forward in a structured national effort to align education and game development. We are launching a national summit in April 2026, and we need your input to shape it. Over the coming year, we’ll be listening, mapping the landscape, and identifying both the gaps and the strengths in our current system. The goal? To lay a solid, informed foundation for decisions that will shape our sector for years to come. And we want you with us from the start.... So to prepare for the Education Summit, we’re hosting three pre-summits this fall at these locations: • Workshop at ITU Anniversary (August 26th) • Workshop at Viborg Animation Festival (September 12th) • Panel Debate at DADIU Days (October TBA) We’re inviting voices from K–12, high schools, academies, universities, and the industry to help us define the future of game education in Denmark. 💡 What do you think education and industry need to align on most? Let’s build this together. Comment if you want to be part of the pre-summits and summit '26. People & Culture on a Mission! ⛏️ Last week, we sent our (huge!) People & Culture team aka Christina Vitale and Katya Grebennikova to a very exciting event: the 5th People & Culture Network meetup! The day was organized by Funday Games and co-hosted by Triband. It was an incredibly productive day filled with insightful discussions about recruitment in the games industry. We explored how top companies across Denmark approach hiring and came away with tons of inspiration to improve our own processes. As a fun bonus, we enjoyed a guided tour of Triband led by Christen Lorensen - and yes, they do have a horse in the office (yay!). The day wrapped up with an inspiring talk by Arendse Løvind Andersen on structuring intern recruitment. We’re so grateful for the valuable conversations and the amazing community of People & Culture professionals. Huge shoutout to all the companies and attendees who made the day so incredible! Our team is already looking forward to the next meetup! Big thank you for the great company to: Christen Lorensen from Triband, Adam Oliver Jones & Kirstine Askholm from Playdead, Ana Petković & Sarah Green-Lieber from Tactile Games, Mikkel Damberg Hadsbjerg from SYBO, Pia Poder Johansen from MOOD Visuals, Jeanette Malene Vittrup & Mads Skovgaard from Fair Games, Gloria Gaspar from BetaDwarf, Regő Porkoláb from FlatPonies and Medina Sarajcic from Raw Power Games. #Network #PeopleAndCulture #HR #Recruitment
