Hello community,
From the first time I started using KDE Neon, I realized how successful and impressive the KDE Connect application is. Indeed, KDE Connect offers functions that are either unavailable on many operating systems or only available through external, often unstable, applications, in a simple and stable manner. Moreover, it not only offers similar features but also boasts many unique features beyond them.
However, for the past few months, I’ve been experiencing a significant problem with this application. I can’t connect my device to KDE Connect. Although I’ve reported this to the developers through the bug report system, no solution has been provided so far. I’m confident there’s no issue on my system; all configurations are correct, and the necessary conditions for connection are met.
This situation is quite disappointing, as it means losing the functionality I’ve become accustomed to. This lack of functionality for a powerful and useful application like KDE Connect is a truly significant shortcoming. I sincerely hope the development team will address this issue and resolve it as soon as possible.
While this does look like an AI generated post, I have to ask. Did you by chance attempt to connect directly via IP discovery in both directions? It’s a last resort but I’ve had that work for me when no other options have worked before in the past
Hello again,
First of all, I’d like to point out that this article was edited with the help of artificial intelligence. However, the words used and the narrative are entirely my own. The purpose of using artificial intelligence here is to present the text in a more streamlined, simple, and understandable manner.
I don’t think this approach is wrong or contradictory. On the contrary, I’d like to emphasize that I disagree with those who think so.
I don’t recall trying the method you suggested before; it might be a solution. However, I still believe the system should naturally function flawlessly. Therefore, I believe some steps need to be taken.
Thank you for your help and support.
Please link the bug report you made, also, have you verified that the devices can “see” each other? Your post suggests you did but I am asking anyway in case you haven’t.
I’m not sure where the problem lies. It could be an issue with KDE Connect Mobile, the KDE Connect desktop application, or one of its components. I’ve even tried alternative methods like Bluetooth, but nothing seems to work. I’ve done thorough investigations on my end, and I’m confident that everything is properly set up the devices are the same, the networks are the same, everything is in place. At this point, it really seems like an issue that concerns the developers.
