Due to some lunch talks in the last weeks about books, i thought it could be valuable for you, to share a bit about my book readings from this year. No. 1 "Gamification, Digitization and Industry 4.0" is an interesting book for anyone dealing with the creation of new SaaS products, the future of work and general tech. management. It offers from my opinion valuable insights into the opportunities that arise from the digital transformation and shows how gamification can be used to seize these opportunities. In all of the three dimensions: product development, future of work and management as such. Everything explained on real gamification examples. This is really interesting. We won the Health-X dataLOFT prize in Berlin. Really excited to start collaboration. Especially interesting is the EHDS angle. EHDS legislation was accepted in the European Parliament a couple of weeks ago. Centric in the legislation is how to facilitate secondary use of health data while safeguarding people's privacy. Health-X dataLOFT is tasked with developing a platform suitable for that in Germany and Europe. We are very excited to be a part of that journey! Very excited to share this news: together with Bildungswerk Der Baden-Württembergischen Wirtschaft E.V. - a leading education and training organization of employers - we are launching an initiative to help equip 50,000 SMB employees with AI skills in my home state of Baden-Württemberg.     Efforts like these could not be timelier. Businesses of all sizes and in all sectors are scaling AI deployments to increase efficiencies, productivity and innovation. But to unlock AI’s full value, people need the right skills. To give a sense of how important this is: according to Microsoft’s Work Trend Index, 71% of business leaders say they’d rather hire a less experienced candidate with AI skills than a more experienced candidate without.      Our work with BIWE is part of Microsoft’s broader effort to bring skilling at scale, working with enterprises, governments, and NGOs worldwide. On my way to beautiful #Karlsruhe for LEARNTEC‘24! Well…currently stuck in almost equally beautiful #Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe for a while, but we’ll slowly get there… Gives some extra time to reflect on what we’ll be seeing from the German #edTech ecosystem during the next three days. My top wish for the week: Last year was disappointing in terms of truly impactful #AI use cases shown by vendors (see my reflection here: https://lnkd.in/eGipJUZ5). Quite shocking, given that 80% of vendors are either “traditional LMS” or “content producer” – and BOTH categories will be disrupted and/or fade out of business within this decade. This year, I expect (well, I should better say: hope!) to see a different picture. Where are the product visions for an AI-powered world for skills & learning? Just browsed the event app a bit and at least I’m seeing lots of talks with “AI” in the title. And I truly hope for more than yet another “here’s another chatGPT prompt”. And personally, I’m expecting lots of exciting conversations on the future of skills-based, personalized learning. We’ll share our latest insights from leading skill transformations in the DACH area during our talks tomorrow. But even more I’m very much looking forward to meet many of our clients and partners in person again, get their feedback on the latest product updates, and chat about what’s coming next!
