How can you align threat intelligence with your business goals?
A common mistake people make is to only focus on the most obvious, digital log-file data. It is important to remember that many breaches don't create digital data points. Creativity, ingenuity, and procedural persistence is often required to create reliable data points out of non-digital breaches. Metadata is often overlooked. Good data governance creates well-labelled metadata that could add to contextual intelligence round incidents and breaches. Information security should make good friends with the data team to enable the compilation of well-governed, high-quality data.
