Without human-to-human interaction, there’s no success in AI. I recently sat down with two of our Bosch UX experts, Nadja Riedlberger and Vitali Fischbein for another issue of our internal Sofa Session series. Nadja and Vitali shared insights into how they bring UX into #AI, as well as AI into #UX – both is very important for success. Two key takeaways were: 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Talk to your users and get feedback! It’s not enough to just implement a new technology and hope for the best. We must actively seek user input both before and after implementation. And then based on the feedback refine and enhance the experience. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Generative AI: Huge potential, but it takes a human touch to unlock it. By sharing our successes and 'aha!' moments, we can collectively unlock the full power of AI for everyone. I really enjoyed our sofa session chat, Nadja and Vitali! Thanks for sharing your valuable impulses and your passion for user-centered technology with us. But there is also another coin of the medal. Could companies misuse the information? First of all, as I see the value of #AI, I see the advantages for each employee and for myself. Like scrolling through Netflix, I do get recommendations of the best next learning to grow my skills and career. With all the badges I can earn, it is a little bit like a treasure hunt. But we cannot and should not just rely on the numbers. And average IBMer completed in 2023 👉 87 hours of learning 💪 ! What about those who are below the line? Are they lazy or have already resigned internally? Sometimes, there are other reasons which are not measurable for managers and these can only be revealed in a personal conversation, such as taking care of sick children or parents of if the employee is suffering from an #invisible challenge. This brings me also to a trustful and #ethical way to implement each AI solution as we do with our AI Ethics board to avoid misuse of AI. How do you keep your self up to date at work? The shortage of women in the IT industry is relatively speaking a recent phenomena brought about by biased data analysis and shameful marketing of the first PC. This concept of antisocial nerd/ tech genius grew up with a generation and should retire with it to.
