E.L.F. BEAUTY just clocked in its 22nd quarter of growth and raised its full-year outlook as it prepares for its biggest international expansion yet. The publicly listed beauty company’s net sales increased 50 percent to $324.5 million in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2025. Wall Street had forecast an average of $302.6 million. Over the quarter, E.l.f. Cosmetics surpassed L’Oréal to become the second-largest color cosmetics brand in the U.S. with a 12 percent share, according to NielsenIQ. E.l.f. Skin made inroads too, becoming the number-nine mass skin care brand in U.S. with a 2 percent share, NielsenIQ data showed. Last night, we celebrated our change-makers at the second Award for Change, an initiative by our Diversity & Inclusion and Sustainability teams. This award recognizes the commitment of employees who are making Axel Springer a future-proof company. Numerous nominations from various brands send a strong signal in the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), alongside the vision of actively practiced climate protection and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) at Axel Springer. This international commitment is reflected in 90 nominations from business divisions such as BILD, Welt, Media Impact, Business Insider, AVIV Group, POLITICO, StepStone Group, Ringier Axel Springer Polska and idealo internet GmbH. Congratulations to all the awardees 2024 in the following categories: D&I/Climate Journalistic Piece of the Year: “Iran will pay for gender-transition surgery, but it comes at a cost — your dignity”. This investigative piece by Joshua Nelken-Zitser and Ida Reihani from Business Insider was recognized for its in-depth exploration of the paradoxes surrounding gender-transition surgeries in Iran, highlighting the complex balance between state support and the loss of dignity and autonomy for transgender individuals. Created by one of the world’s most successful designers and the former head of HUGO BOSS, Werner Baldessarini, the Baldessarini brand oozes exclusivity. So does their packaging. In only two years, their first-ever female fragrance, Bladessarini Bella, has become the brand portfolio’s best-seller. The success inspired brand owner MÄURER & WIRTZ GmbH & Co. KG to expand the series with its latest product, Bella Lilac Diamond. For both fragrances, Mäurer & Wirtz used Invercote G for the outer packaging material, thanks to its whiteness, lightfastness and converting properties. “Many sections of the Bella design are white, and Invercote G has a very good white point compared with other products on the market, which become a bit yellow over time. And because Bella is a luxury product, we wanted the board to retain its purity,” comments Felix Ziethen, print production manager at Mäurer & Wirtz. For the Bella Lilac Diamond packaging, Mäurer & Wirtz used glitter varnish and laser hologram foil to create a glittering diamond effect. Using the reverse side of Invercote G accentuated these effects even more. “I am very happy that we used Invercote G, which has given us so many varnishing and glittering options. It has really helped us to strengthen the brand and especially the Bella Lilac Diamond concept,” says Linda Haas, Baldessarini brand manager at Mäurer & Wirtz.

Made in Germany. It immediately invokes the idea of superior quality. Even if you do not master the German language, Deutsche Gründlichkeit will probably resonate with you. Trusted brands might spring to mind. From the very first ideation phase, we aspired the highest quality. The first prototype reflected that, even though only being a 3D-print. Did you know we applied no less than 13 layers of paint? Only after the 13th layer, we were happy with the result. Gründlichkeit much. Nothing has changed. We have just built our final MVP boasting a thick, robust aluminium casing and matte black finishings. Every iteration comes with hickups, yet leaving our commitment to top quality and the strictest safety standards is not an option, never will be. When we were at the DesignEuropa Awards and it warmed our hearts to hear praise for our product quality from renowned designers with impressive portfolios. It highlighted and strengthened our commitment to quality in every aspect of ModuleOne. If this Gründlichkeit is a typical German trait, then maybe we have German blood running through our vaines.
