That’s why we’re proud to welcome more than 100 representatives from 40 countries to our first Identity Symposium. Under the theme “Discover, Connect and Shape the Future of Identity“, we’re translating complex technology into tangible national security and social inclusion. No single organization or country can navigate this fast-evolving environment alone. To build future-ready frameworks, we need cross-border dialogue and cross-organizational collaboration. Over these two days, we’re moving past abstract concepts to look at real-world success stories, mapping out: 🌐 how identity solutions evolve seamlessly from physical documents to fully digital ecosystems 🔒 the real-world impact of AI in government environments and the migration processes required for post-quantum cryptography 🛫 the future of travel, focusing on smarter mobility, border management, and next-generation credentials to ensure seamless, secure cross-border journeys A huge thank you to all our international guests, insightful speakers, and the entire Veridos team for turning this event into an inspiring catalyst for the future.

Just returning from Identity Week Europe 2026 🔐 What a great few days in Amsterdam! The event once again lived up to its reputation as the place to be for the global identity community, bringing together experts from across industries to exchange ideas, spark innovation, and shape what is next. At Veridos, we truly enjoyed the conversations at our booth, from reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new partners and diving into discussions around secure credentials, biometrics, and trusted digital ecosystems. 🎤 One of our highlights was the session on AI in eGovernment, where we shared perspectives on how AI can help make digital services more scalable, user friendly, and trustworthy, especially as Europe moves closer to eIDAS 2.0 implementation and the Digital Identity Wallet. The presentation by Nick Larter sparked great exchange with industry partners and government representatives and provided valuable insights into future potential developments. A special thank you to our team Veridos on site who made this event such a success. Your energy, expertise, and dedication made all the difference. And of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by or joined our session. We are excited to keep the conversations ongoing. Because secure identities matter.

When Identity Opens Doors: Helping children without a legal identity. At the Street Child World Cup 2026 in Mexico, more than 300 children and young leaders from over 20 countries came together. ⚽ As official legal identity partner of Street Child United, we had the honor to support this great initiative. But the event was about more than sport. It became a place for discussions around inclusion, education and access to opportunity. One story stayed with us. A young participant from Nepal shared how he once had no birth certificate and limited access to education and public services. Today, he has identity documents, studies physiotherapy abroad and wants to return home to support children in his community. His story showed one thing clearly – football opened the first door. Identity opened the world 🌍 The event reinforced an important lesson: identity is not just documentation. It matter and is a human right, enables participation, mobility and opportunity. We see how secure identity systems can help create access and inclusion. A special thank you to the organizers for creating this platform and to Daniela Esquivel and Paul N. Great to be at #ID4Africa2026 in Abidjan last week – a strong gathering of over 1,800 stakeholders from governments, authorities and industry. 🌍 What stood out again: digital identity is clearly moving beyond individual systems towards connected ecosystems that enable real impact across services, borders, and economies. That shift matters. It is what drives inclusion, trusted digital interactions, and stronger participation in the digital economy. 🔐 At Veridos, we are proud to support this journey by strengthening resilient identity infrastructures across the region. 🤝 Thanks to everybody contributing to the success of the event. End of last week marked a key milestone for Veridos with the signing of our Joint Venture with TIBEB Group in Addis Ababa. 🌍 Together, we are committed to building secure, sovereign, and future-proof identity solutions and driving digital transformation in Ethiopia and the region. Veridos’ global experience combined with TIBEB’s strong local partnership enables trusted national identity ecosystems. Ethiopia’s vision for digital transformation strongly aligns with our mission and is a rapidly growing mobility hub. It is uniquely positioned to serve as a regional center for secure identity across Africa. Through this partnership, we are investing heavily in local talent. We are building sustainable capabilities for the future. 🤝 We, Aweke Lemma and Andreas Kuba are looking forward on our joint journey with TIBEB Group CEO Dawit Shiberu, Beek kefyalew and their team.

The future of travel is becoming invisible. 👀 Our team spent from an insightful week at the Border Security Conference. We focused on the shift toward digital borders and the growing role of AI in security. Technology is reshaping how we move across the world. We joined sessions on modern security frameworks that keep travel both secure and seamless. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with global experts and partners. 🛡️ The energy at the event was fantastic. We enjoyed sharing our expertise and learning from the latest innovations in the field. Veridos looks back on a strong 2025.😀🤝 We contributed significantly to Giesecke+Devrient’s good 2025 results, reinforcing the vital role of secure identities in today’s digital landscape. As part of the Digital Security segment, our performance was driven by both organic growth and strategic expansion, providing a stable foundation for the years ahead. Our success in 2025 was marked by various international projects and will do so strategically through the integration of G+D’s recent acquisition XTec in the US. This will expand our footprint in key markets. In our tech-stack, we are looking toward the future of security by advancing Post–Quantum Cryptography. The PQC proof of concept by G+D and our other shareholder Bundesdruckerei-Gruppe gives us a strong foundation. These innovations ensure that international travel documents meet the highest global standards for long–term security and interoperability. 🛡️ Beyond technology, we are investing in our people. The "Ways of Working" initiative at Veridos has fostered a modern, collaborative culture that now serves as a blueprint for the entire G+D Group. By empowering our teams, we remain agile and ready to lead in a rapidly changing environment.
