OroraTech hat dies direkt geteilt
We are excited to introduce the newest member of our BizDev team: Sean Henning! Sean joins us after working 15 years at the USDA Forest Service, first starting as a firefighter on a hotshot crew before becoming a GIS specialist. “Fire has always been a part of my career, from direct suppression on the ground to supporting teams with better data,” Sean says. “At every stage, it’s been about making sure firefighters have the best possible information to stay safe and be effective.” Sean first encountered OroraTech at a NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration-hosted conference, where he was struck by the company’s unique approach. “In a room full of presenters talking about what could be done, OroraTech stood out because they had a solution that was already operational,” Sean recalls. “They had satellites in space, collecting real-time data, and they could show how their platform was delivering insights right now.” That tangible impact is what convinced him that OroraTech was the right place to be. With his background in fire planning and decision support, Sean has spent years helping firefighters make strategic, data-driven choices in the field. “What kind of information would help these guys be more successful, be safer, and ultimately more effective?” he asks. “That’s what I want to bring to OroraTech—figuring out how we can provide better intelligence to support the people on the ground.” Sean sees OroraTech evolving into a powerful decision-support platform in the future, adding features that would be directly applicable to wildfire situations. “Right now, we’re great at fire detection and spread prediction, but I think we can go further—helping teams plan their response, identifying the best places to put fire lines, and improving communication between resources. As we launch more satellites, revisit rates improve, and we’ll get closer to constant situational awareness for firefighters.” #wildfire #wildfiretech #employee #employee
