Look at this gorgeous short film! The good people of Shajarpak Pvt Ltd (Pasha Fabrics) will hold their second show in Dubai next week. They will be featuring Zargar, their offering reviving the ancient Mughal craft of Malmal: the finest cotton fabric hand embroidered with a 3-ply thread to give maximum relief to the intricate designs. The cashmere shawls with embroidered paisley in pure silk threads will be a head-turner, but the most interesting thing for me is that they will launch their bespoke shirt line there. So what do we have here? A company out of Pakistan deeply involved in conserving and reviving ancient crafts in cloth making, inspired by art and really going the extra mile as far as product presentation is concerned, spreading out outside of their home market and beginning to adapt their product offer to occidental habits. Do I like it? No, I love it..... and you should check them out if you are in the area. You will hear more from them in the future!
