Two years ago, Nano Nation began as a small project by two dedicated women, aiming to bring hope to Ukrainian refugee families in Berlin. Today, it has grown into a supportive community. With a dedicated team, Nano's Kidsclub helps children learn through play and smoothly integrate into their new environment. We commend Nano's Kidsclub for their inspiring educational programs and activities. These efforts have touched the lives of almost 400 families since the center's opening. At the Foundation, we are proud of the innovative collaborations between our projects. This month, THE WILDENSTEIN PLATTNER INSTITUTE and Navigating.art announced the publication of the first instalment of the Pierre-Auguste Renoir Catalogue Raisonné Project. It combines advanced technology with WPI's archival resources to provide the public with free access to 450 works by Renoir. The platform allows users to search the catalogue by keywords and thus enhances understanding of Renoir's creative process. As WPI and Navigating.art continue to expand the digital catalogue to include portraits and landscapes, this initiative has the potential to provide invaluable support to current and future scholars and art historians. She is passionate about data and statistics, and her hobby project turned into a 30-person project – meet Elizabeth Y., a PhD student at Hasso Plattner Institute. Her dream? To become a confident, accomplished scientist who inspires young women and peers alike. Her story shows how small ideas can lead to big dreams. Kandinsky’s visionary focus on colors, lines, and shapes opened the door for many artists to explore and flourish within the Geometric Abstraction movement of the early 20th century. The upcoming exhibition, “Kandinsky’s Universe: Geometric Abstraction in the 20th Century,” at Museum Barberini, starting on February 15, highlights the connections between geometric abstract art movements such as Constructivism, De Stijl, and Optical Art, and focuses on Kandinsky as a central figure. Starting February 1, DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam will display the exhibition IN DIALOGUE - Hasso Plattner Collection: Art from the GDR, featuring approximately 50 works in a second presentation of the collection. This time, the focus will be on dialogue as a means of engaging with art from the GDR. The inclusion of studio conversations conducted by curator Daniel Milnes with artists from the collection will explore their perspectives on how GDR art is viewed and presented today. These insights will accompany the exhibition as a podcast series. The exhibition will be on view until August 10 at DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam. We highly recommend the new exhibition and the exploration of art work inside and outside of the museum.
