From the military to software development, FDM Alumni Vytautas Klimavicius is a shining example of how passion, adaptability, and leadership shape exceptional careers. After retiring as a Captain and co-founding a tech startup, Vytautas joined FDM through our Veterans Program. Guided by the motto, "Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life," he’s brought this mindset to his work, earning him the title of Consultant of the Year in the US 👏 During his assignments, Vytautas has worked as a Lead Software Developer and a Lead Cross Product Quality Engineer, contributing to the success of two of our key banking clients. Speaking about his experience, he said, "Working in the tech space has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion as a computer scientist. I'm a hardware nerd—there’s nothing better than building a new rig. A true force in quality engineering, Bharathi Baalasuntharam’s work is transforming client solutions every day. As a Quality Engineer Lead, she and her pod create innovative components that that are utilised across numerous lobs in the client application enterprise. Bharathi’s incredible contributions have earned her the title of Consultant of the Year in Canada 🏆 In her role, she works closely with both her team and cross-functional collaborators, including stakeholders, product owners, BSAs, designers, developers, and QEs. When Ahmed-Nuur started his journey with FDM in 2022, he was just getting his feet wet in the world of software engineering. Fast forward to today, and he’s not only excelling as a Solutions Engineer, but he’s also been named Consultant of the Year in UK & EMEA 🏆 As his role evolved, so did his expertise—he moved from optimising SQL scripts to developing algorithms capable of handling massive data volumes. His next goals are to become even more proficient at creating scalable data solutions, embrace machine learning and AI technologies, and continue his journey of personal and professional growth. 💬 When asked about the skills essential for the next decade in tech, Ahmed-Nuur shared, “Adaptability is probably going to be the most important skill. The ways we work and the tasks we undertake will change drastically. When she was younger, Wen Ying Lee wanted to be a detective. Today, she is doing just that—but with a twist. As an IT Support Analyst, she investigates and resolves complex issues across over 100 applications. Wen Ying joined our Technical Operations Practice in 2022, before moving into an assignment with one of our banking clients. Her outstanding performance has earned her the title of Consultant of the Year in APAC 🏆 What she loves most about her role is the opportunity to collaborate with different teams across the business. Each interaction leaves her with something new to learn. 💬 “In tech, issues will always arise, no matter your role,” Wen Ying says. “Troubleshooting skills are crucial—they enable you to face challenges head-on and tackle them in a systematic way.
