It's the official World Pulses Day, today in celebration of the amazing power of pulses – nature's tiny nutritional giants! Pulses like lentils, beans, peas, and chickpeas are packed with protein, fibre, and essential nutrients, making them a vital part of a healthy diet and sustainable agriculture. Not only are they rich in nutrients, but pulses also play a large role in protecting the environment. They are low in water usage, help enrich the soil with nitrogen, and have a low carbon footprint.
