Info
EIT Culture & Creativity is an EU-supported partnership dedicated to transforming Europe’s cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSIs) into a competitive, prosperous, and resilient economic force. Founded in 2023, we are part of the Knowledge and Innovation Communities powered by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, a body of the European Union. Operating across 30 countries, we have teams on the ground in eight locations: our headquarters in Cologne, and offices in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Helsinki, Košice, and Vienna. With a community of over 60 partners, we forge lasting connections throughout the CCSIs: linking startups with corporates, entrepreneurs with investors, consumers with industry, research with impact, and ideas with reality. Our mission is to drive sustainable and inclusive innovation in five key areas: fashion, media, gaming, architecture, and cultural heritage. Through education, business creation, innovation, and social transformation, we support CCSIs in creating meaningful jobs, reducing environmental impact, and fostering social cohesion.

EIT Culture & Creativity hat dies direkt geteilt
Delighted to represent EIT Culture & Creativity on the expert panel at 🐝 Bee the change: Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in Creative Industries in Brussels! With thanks to Diana Filip for so expertly chairing the panel! What are the key competencies that young professionals in CCSI need to thrive in an evolving market? I spoke of transdisciplinary agility (the ability to seamlessly integrate knowledge and methodologies from diverse fields, fostering innovation at the intersections of art, technology, and science), ethical entrepreneurship (embedding ethical decision-making into the entrepreneurial process to support finite environmental and cultural resources), and cultivating global, cultural literacies (which means not only understanding and appreciating a wide range of cultural narratives, but also how skill and expertise is manifested in non-verbal expressions and practices, each involving their own, nuanced forms of 'literacy'). The panel explored leveraging opportunities in the CCSI sector, such as becoming change agents by acting entrepreneurially (whether entrepreneurs or not), cultivating a creative/innovative mindset, integrating arts into entrepreneurship curricula, providing arts workshops for employees, all in the service of supporting young creatives to transform their ideas into impactful ventures. Happily, EIT Culture & Creativity's current open call for Continuous Professional Development courses includes a Youth Entrepreneurship strand, which aims to unlock fresh talent and drive innovation in the sector today and tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/e58jx5_j Get busy! 🐝 #EITCultureAndCreativity #YouthEntrepreneurship #CreativeIndustries #FutureOfCCI #BeeTheChange #CulturalBEES #Innovation
