It’s a wrap! The 20th edition of DLD has officially come to a close, and what an incredible journey it has been. We are deeply thankful for the energy, passion, and ideas each of you brought to this year’s conference. What a fantastic second day at #DLD25! The buzz in the hallways and those serendipitous connections perfectly capture what makes this community so unique. It’s truly inspiring to see the DLD network continue to grow, innovate, and spark new ideas. ❤️ It’s been such a joy to reconnect with familiar faces, both on and off stage – like Azeem Azhar, who brought his expertise to the Exponential View track. His sessions tackled game-changing topics like energy grids and supply, biotech breakthroughs, and defense tech innovations. The day was packed with thought-provoking conversations from philosophers, business leaders, technologists, and artists tackling the big questions. From uncovering the next wave of business opportunities to exploring how Europe can remain competitive and democratic in today’s shifting geopolitical landscape, we’ve covered so much ground. After studying mechanical engineering at TU Munich he received his PhD from HNI Paderborn.   Marco Iannaccone is a member of the Management Board of HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit - Deutschland. As Head of Client Solutions, he is responsible for capital markets, transaction and hedging business of HypoVereinsbank/UniCredit in Germany.   Steve Jurvetson is a seasoned venture capitalist and co-founder of Future Ventures, focusing on transformative industries like AI, robotics, and space exploration. He specializes in human-computer interaction. Prior to joining Stanford, he was a Professor at Cornell Tech and the University of Washington. From 2003-2006, he also served as the Director of Intel Labs Seattle.   Solveigh Hieronimus is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in Germany. Solveigh is also a member of both McKinsey's Sustainability and People & Organizational Performance Practices and serves on the council of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), where she focuses her work on the competitiveness and long-term prosperity of Europe. Sara Fischer is a media correspondent for Axios and a founding staff member at the digital news outlet. She writes a weekly newsletter on media trends that reaches over 100,000 professionals across the media, tech and entertainment industries. She is also a media analyst at CNN and has received widespread recognition for her influence in the media landscape.   Sebastian Kuss is Managing Partner and co-founder of EMH Partners. He has made numerous investments in the European technology sector and successfully developed technology-driven growth companies, notably Occhio, Native Instruments and Brainlab, a leader in digital medical technology.

For all DLD fans, the wait is almost over! This Thursday, January 16, we’ll kick off our 20th DLD Munich conference – and it’s shaping up to be truly special. If you read our detailed preview article, linked below, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what to expect at this year’s conference. The agenda includes all important innovation topics, from AI to biotech, green energy and quantum computing, all the way to culture, arts and creativity. #DLD25 will also be extra long, with a full first day, because we’re partnering with the Bavarian AI Network BAIOSPHERE to highlight the latest developments in AI. This track alone will bring together many big names from science, business, and investing – including Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, Silicon Valley legend Astro Teller (“Captain of Moonshots” at X, the moonshot factory), You.com founder Richard Socher and renowned AI researchers Björn Ommer (LMU) and Michal Kosinski (Stanford University).
