DLD is where the world's top minds gather. Come join us and be part of the conversation that shapes the future.

Info

DLD has been Europe's major innovation conference since 2005. DLD stands for Digital – Life – Design and explores how the digital age fundamentally changes our life, society and business. Founded in 2005, DLD started as in intimate gathering of friends. Since then it has developed into an interdisciplinary, internationally connected platform for people who have changed or will change the world – with their creativity, their business model, their research findings or their personal involvement in a cause close to their heart. DLD events are hosted around the globe (Tel Aviv, New York, Palo Alto, Berlin, Brussels etc.) every year to connect business and creative leaders, as well as opinion formers. Guests and speakers have previously included Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, Yahoo's Marissa Mayer, Google's Eric Schmidt, YouTube’s Chad Hurley, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, entrepreneurs like Sean Parker, Arianna Huffington or Troy Carter, net-a-porter founder Natalie Massenet, author Paolo Coelho, curator Hans Ulrich Obrist, architects Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas and Norman Foster, artists like Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, Olafur Eliasson and Taryn Simon, superstars Lady Gaga and Alanis Morissette but also Nobel laureates Daniel Kahneman and Martti Ahtisaari, scientists Craig Venter, and Sebastian Thrun or VCs such as Reid Hoffmann, Ben Horowitz, Jim Breyer or Peter Thiel. DLD is a key driver in the European Media world. Over 180 journalists from opinion forming media such as New York Times, IHT, The Economist, Guardian, Fortune, Financial Times, FAZ, FOCUS, Spiegel, CNBC will be attending the conference. DLD created over 528 Million quality media contacts in 2013. Watch my Glocalisation keynote at DLD Conference where German language artists are on the rise inside Germany  — the opposite of what we’re seeing in the UK (and Australia, Canada). That’s the main course, for dessert you have a Q&A with the brilliant Sophie and the Giants: a UK act, signed by Universal Music Deutschland working with Italian producers and blowing up across the EU - a rare post-Brexit success story that Britain doesn’t even know about.  https://lnkd.in/e9DRhTjE

How do big ideas become reality? At #DLD25, we sat down with Astro Teller, Captain of Moonshots at X, the moonshot factory, to explore what it takes to turn bold ideas into real-world solutions. X, Alphabet’s innovation lab, has helped create groundbreaking technologies like Waymo (self-driving cars), Verily (AI-driven healthcare), and Tapestry (smart energy grids). But how do you know when an idea is worth pursuing? Astro shared key insights into the moonshot mindset: 🔹 The Formula for a Moonshot – A big problem, a radical solution, and breakthrough technology 🔹 Why Failure Matters – Testing thousands of ideas and learning from the ones that don’t work 🔹 The Long Game – Some of the most transformative innovations take decades to prove their impact Big breakthroughs don’t happen overnight. They require curiosity, patience, and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking. If you're interested in radical innovation, AI, and the future of technology, this conversation is one to watch. 📺 Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/eg2XDC8U

If you read our detailed preview article, linked below, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what to expect at this year’s conference. The agenda includes all important innovation topics, from AI to biotech, green energy and quantum computing, all the way to culture, arts and creativity. #DLD25 will also be extra long, with a full first day, because we’re partnering with the Bavarian AI Network BAIOSPHERE to highlight the latest developments in AI. This track alone will bring together many big names from science, business, and investing – including Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, Silicon Valley legend Astro Teller (“Captain of Moonshots” at X, the moonshot factory), You.com founder Richard Socher and renowned AI researchers Björn Ommer (LMU) and Michal Kosinski (Stanford University). We’ll also discuss the power of tech giants, and their billionaire owners, in business, politics and society. Our stellar group of high-profile speakers includes Meredith Whittaker (Signal Messenger), Tristan Harris (Center for Humane Technology), Mitchell Baker (Mozilla), Marietje Schaake (Stanford University) and author Gary Marcus. Europe’s position in the innovation landscape is another topic cluster with top-notch speakers, including Robert Habeck (BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN), Eva Maydell (Paunova) (European Parliament), ecomist Moritz Schularick, investors Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi (UBS), Klaus Hommels (Lakestar) and Philipp Freise (KKR), as well as startup founders and corporate leaders. Please head over to our DLD News site to see more: https://lnkd.in/ec9Exg49 Ticket applications are still open – but hurry, there aren’t many left.
