We are excited to have teamed up with STEM Racing Germany. We will be hosting the German STEM Racing Championships for the first time at our Audi F1 Project site in Neuburg an der Donau from May 16 to 17, 2025. STEM Racing is the new name for Formula 1’s educational program, previously known as ‘F1 in Schools’. It is the largest school-based STEM program in the world, involving 26,000 schools across 57 countries on six continents. The program is designed for students aged 11 to 19, who work alongside their teachers to develop and race miniature racing cars powered by compressed air. The highlight of each season is the World Finals, which have lately been won twice in a row by German teams. At last year’s World Finals, two teams from Germany even achieved a 1-2 victory. 🚀 Exciting News: Sauber Motorsport to establish Technology Centre in UK!   We’re happy to announce the establishment of our new Sauber Motorsport Technology Centre UK, expanding our presence beyond Switzerland and Germany. This marks a significant step for the Audi F1 Project on the way to entering the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship 🏆. Why the UK? Firstly, it is the birthplace of Formula 1 and home to the world’s largest motorsport expertise and talent pool. Holiday season! After another year of intense preparation behind closed doors, it is time to take a short break, let the test benches rest and spend a few pleasant days with our loved ones. The next generation in our sim. Audi is a proud partner of Motorsport Team Germany – a unique initiative of the ADAC Stiftung Sport and the DMSB to help young German talents become successful racing drivers. The initiative is supported by the German car manufacturers involved in motorsport. As part of our support, we welcomed four promising young drivers from Motorsport Team Germany to our facility in Neuburg. Montego Maassen, Mathilda Paatz, Phil Colin Strenge and Elia Luis Weiss (none older than 17) got a look behind the scenes of the Audi F1 Project and the development of the Audi F1 power unit. They also had the unique opportunity to spend time in our dynamic driving simulator. The young drivers were guided by our simulator driver Neel Jani who was impressed by their performance. It was great to see the fun they had and the progress they made. Welcome, Gabriel Bortoleto! He is the latest piece of the puzzle for our entry into Formula 1 in 2026. Coupled with the signing of Nico Hülkenberg in April, Bortoleto joins our driver pairing as one of the most promising talents for the future. The German-Brazilian duo is well matched with an ideal combination of experience and youth. They will drive for Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber next year, which will transform into the Audi F1 factory team for 2026. We are committed to promoting young talent. Audi and bp are joining forces in Formula 1. We are proud to announce the first official partner for the future Audi factory team in F1. The strategic partnership with bp includes the development of the ‘Advanced Sustainable’ fuel as required by the FIA F1 Technical Regulations from 2026 which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions while offering high-performance potential. We have been working closely together for almost two years, co-engineering bp fuels and Castrol lubricants to enable maximum performance from the Audi F1 Power Unit. bp will also supply a range of bespoke Castrol lubricants and greases including Castrol EDGE, Castrol’s most advanced engine oil, for the V6 turbo engine. Electrical components of the Audi F1 Power Unit will benefit from the Castrol ON range of EV fluids. Audi and bp already have a long and successful joint history in motorsport. Significant milestones and goals achieved. Work on the Power Unit for AUDI AG’s Formula 1 entry has been underway for more than two years behind closed doors at our Neuburg facility. Today we are able to provide an insight into the current status of the project. After just two years, our Power Unit, consisting of a combustion engine, electric motor, battery and control electronics, is running dynamically on the test bench. The Audi Power Unit has already covered simulated race distances on the test bench. We will soon be doing the same with the entire drive system, which means the combination of Power Unit and transmission. We gained a lot of testing time with the individual components in 2023 and were able to incorporate the experience gained into the next construction stages in parallel. We implemented a very ambitious modernization and expansion of our test facility. Today, we have 22 state-of-the-art test benches at the site. In addition, our fuel development has been running since 2022 with a strong partner who has many years of experience in Formula 1. This is a decisive factor for our project, as the new sustainable fuel for 2026 will have even greater competitive relevance. There have been special milestones almost every month since the start of the project in spring 2022. The fact that our entire team in Neuburg can fully concentrate on the development of the Power Unit for 2026 is an advantage for Audi. #Audi #Formula1 #VorsprungDurchTechnik #technology
