- Nils Johan Teodor Odhner (February 25, 1879 – October 29, 1928) was a Swedish zoologist. Odhner was born in Lund, Sweden. He was the son of the historian Clas Theodor Odhner and the father of the agronomist . Odhner became an associate professor of zoology at Uppsala University in 1905, a professor of zoology at the University of Oslo in 1914, a professor and curator of the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm in the invertebrate department in 1918, and also director of the (Stockholms arbetareinstitut) in 1922. Odhner participated in 's zoological expeditions to Svalbard and eastern Greenland in 1900, and in expedition to the White Nile in 1901. He also conducted zoological studies at the stations in Trieste and Naples. He made several contributions to the literature on the anatomy and classification of the flukes, and in 1925 he was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, where he served as vice secretary from 1923 to 1928. Han var son till Claes Theodor Odhner och far till Clas-Erik Odhner. Efter avlagd mogenhetsexamen vid Beskowska skolan i Stockholm 1897 skrevs Odhner in vid Uppsala universitet. Under sin studietid var Odhner bland annat ordförande på Föreningen Heimdal och Förste Kurator på Stockholms nation. Odhner blev docent i zoologi vid Uppsala universitet 1905, professor i zoologi vid Kristiania universitet 1914, professor och intendent vid Naturhistoriska riksmuseets i Stockholm evertebratavdelning 1918 och tillika föreståndare för Stockholms arbetarinstitut 1922. Odhner deltog i zoologiska expeditioner till Svalbard och östra Grönland 1900 samt till Vita Nilen 1901 och bedrev zoologiska studier vid stationerna i Trieste och Neapel. Han lämnade flera bidrag till litteraturen om sugmaskarnas anatomi och systematik och valdes 1925 till ledamot av Vetenskapsakademien, för vilken han var vice sekreterare 1923–1928. Han är begravd på Norra begravningsplatsen utanför Stockholm. (sv)
