- Στη Ρωμαϊκή μυθολογία, η Σουαδέλα (ή Σουάδα) ήταν θεά της πειθούς, ιδιαίτερα στο ρομαντισμό, την αποπλάνηση και την αγάπη. Συνδεόταν στενά με την Αφροδίτη. Η ελληνική ονομασία ήταν Πειθώ. Μερικές φορές συνδέεται ή υπολογίζεται με κάποια από τις χάριτες Χάριτες. Ο Πλούταρχος παρατηρεί στο Quaestiones Romanae (μέρος Μοράλια) ότι το ζευγάρι είχε ανάγκη από πέντε θεούς: τον Γαμήλιο Δία, τη Γαμήλια Ήρα, την Αφροδίτη, την Σουάδα και πάνω απ' όλα την Ντιάνα, την οποία καλούν οι γυναίκες στη γέννα. Her Greek name was Peitho and she was worshipped as a divinity in Sicyon, where she was honoured with a temple in the agora. Sometimes she is associated with or counted as one of the Graces, being part of Venus’s retinue. Plutarch observed in his Quaestiones Romanae (part of the Moralia) that the married couple had need of five gods: Nuptial Jupiter, Nuptial Juno, Venus, Suada, and above all Diana, whom women call upon in childbirth.
