- Die Scottish Sports Hall of Fame wurde 2002 vom Verband SportScotland eingerichtet. Gründungspaten der Institution waren Prinzessin Anne, der damalige First Minister von Schottland Jack McConnell und der Motorsportler Jackie Stewart. In regelmäßigen Abständen werden neue schottische Sportlerinnen und Sportler in die Hall of Fame aufgenommen, die von jedermann vorgeschlagen werden können. Ein Gremium von Sportexperten aus verschiedenen Disziplinen entscheidet über die Aufnahme. Die Hall of Fame existiert nur virtuell, Erinnerungsstücke der Sportler sind im National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh ausgestellt. (de)
- Le Scottish Sports Hall of Fame, (traduisible par le Temple de la renommée du sport écossais ou Panthéon du sport écossais), est une institution écossaise qui récompense les sportifs écossais qui se sont illustrés par leur palmarès ou la promotion de leur sport. Créé le 30 novembre 2001 par le Conseil des sports (le corps gouvernemental du sport en Écosse), les musées nationaux d'Écosse et la BBC Écosse, ce Hall of Fame est dirigé par la Princesse Anne, l'ancien premier ministre Jack McConnell et l'ancien pilote de formule 1 Jackie Stewart.L'objectif de cette institution est d'inspirer les nouvelles générations et d'établir un lieu de mémoire du sport écossais au Musée de l'Écosse situé à Édimbourg.
