- العلوم والتكنولوجيا في المغرب (بالإنجليزية: Science and technology in Morocco ) تطورت إلى حد كبير في السنوات الأخيرة حيث تقوم الحكومة المغربية بتنفيذ إصلاحات لتشجيع البحث العلمي في المملكة. بينما البحث والتطوير لم يكتسب حتى الآن أولوية وطنية في المغرب. يمتلك المغرب المقومات الرئيسية التي يمكن أن تحول قطاع البحث والتطوير إلى أداة رئيسية في التنمية. الصناعة لا يزال يسيطر عليها القطاع العام وتقوم الجامعات بتوظيف 58% من الباحثين. وقامت المغرب بتقييم نظامها الوطني للبحوث المنفذ بها في عام 2003 وكشفت عن أن البلاد لديها إمدادات جيدة من الموارد البشرية المدربة جيدا ذات جودة عالية وأن بعض المختبرات ذات جودة عالية جداً. ولكن الفجوة الأكبر في تلك المرحلة من الوقت تكمن في الربط بين البحوث والابتكار. المؤهلات التعليمية للباحثين المغاربة قد زاد زيادة كبيرة منذ أوائل التسعينات. وتعتبر جامعة القرويين هي أقدم جامعة في العالم لا زالت عاملة إلى الآن بدون انقطاع وأول مؤسسة علمية اخترعت الكراسي العلمية المتخصصة والدرجات العلمية في العالم بحسب منظمة اليونسكو وموسوعة غينيس للأرقام القياسية. - Science and technology in Morocco has significantly developed in recent years. The Moroccan government has been implementing reforms to encourage scientific research in the Kingdom. While research has yet to acquire the status of a national priority in Morocco, the country does have major assets that could transform its R&D sector into a key vehicle for development. The industry remains dominated by the public sector, with the universities employing 58% of researchers. Morocco's own evaluation of its national research system – carried out in 2003 – revealed that thecountry has a good supply of well trained high quality human resources and that some laboratories areof very high quality. However, the greatest gap at that point of time lied in the link between researchand innovation. The educational qualifications ofMoroccan researchers have increasedsignificantly since the early 1990s. The University of Al-Karaouine is considered the oldest continuously operating academic degree-granting university in the world. (en)
