- L'Entité provisoire d'Ossétie du Sud (en ossète : хуccap йpыctoны aдmйnйctpaцн; en géorgien : სამხრეთი ოსეთის ადმინისტრაცია) est une administration représentant l'opposition pro-géorgienne au président indépendantiste sud-ossète Edouard Kokoïty. L'entité lutte pour l'instauration d'une République autonome d'Ossétie du Sud au sein de la Géorgie et fut ainsi créée à la suite de l'élection présidentielle en avril 2007 dans les territoires alors contrôlés par Tbilissi. Toutefois, ni les pays soutenant l'intégrité territoriale de la Géorgie ni le gouvernement géorgien ne reconnaît officiellement l'administration. Son président est Dimitri Sanakoïev, ancien Premier ministre séparatiste de l'Ossétie du Sud, et son Premier ministre est l'ancien militant sécessionniste Ouzourmag Karkousov. La Géorgie, l'ONU et la plupart de ses États membres ne reconnaissent pas cette indépendance et considèrent l'Ossétie du Sud comme une région autonome au sein des provinces de Kartlie intérieure, de la Iméréthie, de Mtskheta-Mtianeti et de Ratcha-Letchkhoumie et Basse Svanétie, situées dans les frontières internationalement reconnues de la Géorgie. - The Provisional Administration of South Ossetia (Georgian: სამხრეთ ოსეთის დროებითი ადმინისტრაცია, Samxret Osetis droebiti administ’racia) is an administrative body that Georgia regards as the legal government of South Ossetia. The administration was set up by the Georgian government as a transitional measure leading to the settlement of South Ossetia's status. As of 2007, Georgia is proposing the status of autonomous republic within the Georgian state. The area mainly lies within the Shida Kartli region. Following the 2008 South Ossetia war, the Provisional Administration has had no South Ossetian territory under its control and remains a nominal entity. (en)
- De Provisionele Territoriale Eenheid Zuid-Ossetië (Georgisch: სამხრეთ ოსეთის დროებითი ტერიტორიული ერთეული, volledig Provisioneel Administratief-Territoriale Eenheid op het grondgebied van het voormalige Zuid-Ossetische Autonome District) is een speciale bestuurlijke en territoriale eenheid in Georgië. Het omvat het grondgebied van de voormalige Zuid-Ossetische Autonome Oblast die in december 1990 werd afgeschaft, wat overeenkomt met het territorium van de afscheidingsrepubliek Zuid-Ossetië.
