Perteneció a la Liga de Delos puesto que aparece mencionada en los registros de tributos a Atenas entre los años 450/49 y 421/0 a. C. donde pagaba un phoros de 3000 dracmas. Al menos durante parte del periodo helenístico pertenecía al territorio de Cauno. Pasanda también es mencionada por Esteban de Bizancio y en el Estadiasmo. Este periplo la sitúa a una distancia de treinta estadios de Cauno. (es)

It was a member of the Delian League since it appears in tribute records of Athens between the years 450/49 and 421/0 BCE, paying a phoros of 3000 drachmae. At least during part of the Hellenistic period it belonged to the territory of Kaunos. Passanda is also mentioned by Stephanus of Byzantium and by the Stadiasmus. The latter places it at a distance of thirty stadia from Kaunos. Its site is located near , in Ortaca district, Asiatic Turkey. (en)
