Montessori-Based Dementia Programming (MBDP) is a way of helping older adults who are suffering from cognitive and/or physical impairments. This method is based on the ideas of the educator Maria Montessori. The physicians have noticed that after using MBDP, patients with dementia have shown increased levels of engagement and participation. Even though this method can not cure or prevent Alzheimer's disease. It can still help improve many aspects of the quality of life of those who have Alzheimer's disease.
