- مارع (بكسر الراء) هي مدينة في محافظة حلب في سورية. تبعد عن حلب 35 كيلومتر إلى الشمال، وتبعد عن الحدود التركية السورية مسافة 25 كيلومتر. بلغ عدد سكان الناحية 39,306 نسمة حسب تعداد عام 2004.، كما تبلغ مساحتها 20 ألف هكتار. (ar)
- Marea o Maré (en árabe: مارع) es una localidad de Siria. Se sitúa al norte del país, a 25 kilómetros de la ciudad de Alepo. Es capital de la nahiya , en el distrito de Azaz (Gobernación de Alepo). La localidad tenía 16.904 habitantes en el censo de 2004. Marea ha sido afectada por el desarrollo de la Guerra Civil Siria que comenzó en 2011. En agosto de 2012 fue ocupada por el Ejército Libre Sirio, convirtiéndola en un importante centro de operaciones. En enero de 2016 pasó a ser controlada por el Frente Islámico e informaciones de agosto de ese año apuntaban a su control por parte de las fuerzas kurdas de las Unidades de Protección Popular (YPG). It is the largest town and administrative centre of the Mare' nahiyah in the Azaz District. Located some 25 kilometers north of the city of Aleppo, the town has a population of 16,904 as per the 2004 census. Nearby localities include Shaykh Issa and Tell Rifaat to the west, A'zaz to the northwest, Dabiq to the northeast, al-Bab to the southeast, and Maarat Umm Hawsh and Herbel to the south. (en)
