- Die Spanische Evangelische Kirche (spanisch: Iglesia Evangélica Española) ist eine 1869 gegründete evangelische Kirche in Spanien. Heute sind etwa 0,3 Prozent der Gesamtbevölkerung des Landes evangelisch. Die Spanische Evangelische Kirche vereint reformierte, presbyterianische, lutherische, kongregationalistische und methodistische Traditionen. Zuletzt fusionierte 1955 die methodistische Kirche Spaniens mit der Spanischen Evangelischen Kirche. Oberstes Verwaltungsorgan ist die Generalsynode, die mindestens einmal jährlich zusammentritt. Für die Zeit zwischen den einzelnen Synoden ist eine ständige Kommission mit einem Generalsekretär an der Spitze eingerichtet. Die Kirche ist in sechs regionale Presbyterien gegliedert, wobei jedem Presbyterium zwei oder mehr Gemeinden zugeordnet sind. Die Spanische Evangelische Kirche ist Mitglied des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), der Konferenz Europäischer Kirchen (KEK), der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa, der Weltgemeinschaft Reformierter Kirchen und des Weltrats methodistischer Kirchen. - La Iglesia Evangélica Española (IEE) es una Iglesia protestante formada por la unión de comunidades presbiterianas, congregacionalistas, metodistas, luteranas y valdense. Nacida en 1869, representa los principios de la Reforma del siglo XVI. Se rige por un Sínodo General, cuyos miembros son elegidos de forma democrática. La Iglesia Evangélica Española pertenece a Comunión Mundial de Iglesias Reformadas (este cuerpo ecuménico cristiano se conformó en junio de 2010 por la unión de la Alianza Reformada Mundial (ARM) y el Consejo Ecuménico Reformado (CER).) Fuera de España, las Iglesias pertenecientes a la Comunión Mundial de Iglesias Reformadas actúan como si fuera la Iglesia evangélica española en ese país y viceversa. La IEE es miembro fundador del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias, de la Conferencia de Iglesias Europeas, de la Conferencia de Iglesias Protestantes de los Países Latinos de Europa, de la Comunión Mundial de Iglesias Reformadas y del Consejo Mundial Metodista. Elle rassemble un peu moins de 3 000 membres dans une vingtaine de paroisses. C'est une église protestante historique de type réformée qui n'est pas issue du mouvement évangélique. Elle est affiliée à la Cepple, à la KEK-CEE, au COE, à la Fédération évangélique d'Espagne, à la Communion mondiale d'Églises réformées et au Conseil Méthodiste Mondial. Elle est partenaire de l'Église anglicane espagnole (L'Église épiscopalienne réformée espagnole), l'Eglise protestante unie de France, de l'Église d'Écosse et de l'Église presbytérienne en Irlande. - The Spanish Evangelical Church (Spanish: Iglesia Evangélica Española [IEE]) is a united denomination; Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, Congregationalists participated in the merger. It was established in the wake of religious tolerance in Spain in 1869. The first General Assembly was in Seville in 1872, where the name of the Spanish Christian Church was adopted, later changed to the current name. In 1980 it was officially recognised by the government. It is a member of the Evangelical Federation of Spain, and the World Communion of Reformed Churches and has good contact with the Spanish Reformed Episcopal Church and the World Methodist Council. It recognises the Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed, Nicene Creed, Heidelberg Catechism and Second Helvetic Confession. Partner churches are the Reformed Church of France, the Church of Scotland, and the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The Iglesia Evangélica Española has about 10,000 members in 40 congregations and 50 house fellowships. (en)
