- أوضاع أو طرق التهوية الميكانيكية هي أحد أهم جوانب المعرفة أثناء استخدام التهوية الميكانيكية، ويشير لفظ «الوضع» إلى طريقة دعم جهاز التنفس لعملية الشهيق، ويتوقف اختيار الوضع على رأي الطبيب أو إرشادات المستشفى، نظرًا لندرة الأدلة التي تشير إلى نتيجة تأثير اختيار وضع بعينه على النتيجة السريرية، ويعد وضع التهوية الإلزامية المتقطعة (intermittent mandatory ventilation) والتهوية الإلزامية المستمرة (continuous mandatory ventilation) أكثر أشكال التهوية الميكانيكية. وقديما كانت هناك تغييرات كبيرة في تسميات التهوية الميكانيكية على مر السنين، ولكن في الآونة الأخيرة أصبحت التسميات موحدة من قبل العديد من أطباء الرئة. وتُسخدم الأحرف الإنجليزية الكبيرة لكتابة هذه الأوضاع بشكل أفضل، مع وجود شرطة بين متغيرات التحكم واستراتيجية التهوية. - Modes of mechanical ventilation are one of the most important aspects of the usage of mechanical ventilation. The mode refers to the method of inspiratory support. In general, mode selection is based on clinician familiarity and institutional preferences, since there is a paucity of evidence indicating that the mode affects clinical outcome. The most frequently used forms of volume-limited mechanical ventilation are intermittent mandatory ventilation (IMV) and continuous mandatory ventilation (CMV). There have been substantial changes in the nomenclature of mechanical ventilation over the years, but more recently it has become standardized by many respirology and pulmonology groups. Writing a mode is most proper in all capital letters with a dash between the control variable and the strategy (i.e. PC-IMV, or VC-MMV etc.). (en)
- Un mode de ventilation mécanique, ou mode ventilatoire, est un aspect majeur de la ventilation mécanique en médecine. Le mode fait référence a la méthode d'assistance inspiratoire délivrée par le ventilateur. Généralement, le choix du mode ventilatoire depend de la familiarité du clinicien vis-a-vis du-dit mode et des preferences institutionnelles concernant le choix du fabricant ou du modèle de ventilateur, étant donne qu'il existe peu de preuves dans la littérature indiquant que le mode affecte le prognostic du patient. Il existe trois principales catégories : la ventilation en volume contrôlé, la ventilation en pression contrôlée et la ventilation spontanée. Les nomenclatures n’étant pas standardisées, noms et abréviations varient d'un fabricant à l'autre ou d'un pays à l'autre, même si cela tend à s'harmoniser depuis les années 2010. Récemment, dans les pays anglo-saxons, il est d'usage d’écrire le type de contrôle (volume, pression ou spontanée) suivi d'un tiret puis du mode proprement-dit (PC-IMV ou VC-MMV ou SPN-CPAP/PS).
