- الهوس النرجسي (بالإنجليزية: Egomania) ويعرف أيضا بانشغال الفرد الدائم بذاته وينطبق على الشخص الذي يتبع اندفاعاته الغير محكومة كما أنه مهووس بأوهام العظمة الشخصية ويشعر بنقص تقدير الأخرين. الشخص الذي يعاني من هذا الشكل المفرط من التمركز حول الذات يسمي مهوس نرجسي، وهي حالة غير طبيعية من الناحية النفسية. وغالبا ما يستخدم المصطلح الهوس النرجسي من قبل الأشخاص العاديين بطريقة تحقير لوصف شخص بأنه أناني بشكل لا يطاق، وتعتبر الحالة السريرية التي تشبه المفهوم الشعبي للهوس النرجسي هي اضطراب الشخصية النرجسية (ar)
- Egomanie (von griech. bzw. lat. ego = ich + griech. μανία manía = Raserei; auch Ich-Sucht) ist eine krankhafte Selbstbezogenheit oder Selbstzentriertheit. Der Duden definiert den Begriff als bildungssprachlich für eine „krankhafte Selbstbezogenheit“. Die so zugeschriebene Person wird als Egomane bezeichnet und habe das Bedürfnis, stets im Mittelpunkt allen Handelns und Geschehens zu stehen, oder interpretiert Abläufe ichbezogen. Egomanie tritt in der Psychopathologie als eines von mehreren Symptomen einer Manie im Rahmen einer bipolaren Störung (manisch-depressive Krankheit) in Erscheinung und wird dabei von Megalomanie („Größenwahn“) begleitet. Der Begriff Egomanie wird aber vielfach auch rein umgangs- oder alltagssprachlich ohne den Anspruch einer ärztlichen Diagnose verwendet. (de)
