- Continental Freemasonry, otherwise known as Liberal Freemasonry, Latin Freemasonry, and Adogmatic Freemasonry, includes the Masonic lodges, primarily on the European continent, that recognize the Grand Orient de France (GOdF) or belong to CLIPSAS, SIMPA, TRACIA, CIMAS, COMAM, CATENA, GLUA, or any of various other international organizations of Liberal, i.e. Continental Freemasonry. The larger number of Freemasons, most of whom live in the United States–where Regular Freemasonry holds a virtual monopoly–belong to Masonic lodges that recognize the United Grand Lodge of England and do not recognize Continental Freemasons, regarding them as "irregular". - Liberale Freimaurerei bezeichnet ein freimaurerisches dezentrales heterosoziales Netzwerk von Freimaurerlogen und Großlogen auf der Grundlage der „absoluten Gewissensfreiheit“. Dieses neue Konzept der Freimaurerei wurde auf dem Konvent des Grand Orient de France von 1877 geboren. Wie alle Menschenrechte ist die Idee eng verbunden mit dem Humanismus und der im Zeitalter der Aufklärung entwickelten Idee des Naturrechts. Satzungen heutiger liberaler Großlogen betonen neben diesem Freiheitsrecht weitere, insbesondere die Versammlungs- und Religionsfreiheit und soziale Menschenrechte wie Selbstbestimmung, die Gleichberechtigung von Frau und Mann und auch die Kontrolle von Macht durch Gewaltenteilung. - La massoneria continentale, detta anche massoneria liberale,, massoneria latina e massoneria adogmatica, comprende le logge massoniche, principalmente sul continente europeo, che riconoscono il (GOdF) o appartengono al CLIPSAS. La maggioranza dei massoni appartegono a logge che riconoscono la Gran Loggia Unita d'Inghilterra e non riconoscono i massoni continentali, da loro considerati "irregolari". (it)
