- Das Tribunal Constitucional de Portugal (deutsch Verfassungsgericht von Portugal) ist das oberste Gericht in Portugal. Gegründet 1982 vom nach der Nelkenrevolution, residiert es im Palácio Ratton in der Rua de O Século, im Stadtviertel Mercês. - The Constitutional Court (Portuguese: Tribunal Constitucional, pronounced [tɾibuˈnaɫ kõʃtitusiuˈnaɫ]) is a special court, defined by the Portuguese Constitution as part of the judicial branch of the Portuguese political organization. Unlike the rest of the country's courts, the Constitutional Court has important characteristics, such as a special composition, and unique competences. The main task of the court is to review the constitutionality of the newly approved laws, but it also has important powers related to the President of the Republic, the political parties, and referendums. The Portuguese Constitution defines the Constitutional Court as a completely independent organ that operates independently from the other branches of government, such as the Executive or the Legislative. The Justices of the Constitutional Court are independent and cannot be impeached. The decisions of the court are above the decisions of any other authority. The court convenes in Lisbon, in the Ratton Palace located in Bairro Alto. (en)

Con sede en Lisboa, el Tribunal Constitucional ejerce su jurisdicción sobre todo el ordenamiento jurídico portugués, y sus decisiones son vinculantes para todas las entidades públicas y privadas y prevalecen sobre las de otros tribunales y cualquier otra autoridad. Como órgano constitucional, fue creado por la revisión de 1982 de la constitución portuguesa, tras la disolución del Consejo de la Revolución. Su principal competencia es el examen de la constitucionalidad de las leyes y decretos-leyes, así como su interpretación conforme a la constitución. - O Tribunal Constitucional é o mais alto Tribunal do sistema judicial de Portugal e o único Tribunal português cujas decisões são definitivas e inapeláveis. Com sede em Lisboa, no Palácio Ratton, o Tribunal Constitucional exerce a sua jurisdição no âmbito de toda a ordem jurídica portuguesa, sendo que as suas decisões são obrigatórias para todas as entidades públicas e privadas e prevalecem sobre as dos restantes tribunais e de quaisquer outras autoridades. Como órgão constitucional foi criado pela Revisão Constitucional de 1982, na sequência da extinção do Conselho da Revolução. A sua competência nuclear é a fiscalização da constitucionalidade das leis e dos decretos-leis, bem como da sua interpretação conforme à Constituição. É ainda o Tribunal superior no âmbito do contencioso eleitoral e tem competência para a fiscalização dos partidos políticos e dos titulares de cargos políticos. O Tribunal Constitucional português integra ainda a Conferência das Jurisdições Constitucionais dos Países de Língua Portuguesa. Desde 12 de Fevereiro de 2021 é Presidente do Tribunal Constitucional o Conselheiro João Caupers. Embora o mandato seja de 4 anos e meio, Caupers permanecerá no cargo até à tomada de posse do seu sucessor após 6 de Março de 2023, data em que completa o mandato de 9 anos como Juiz do Tribunal Constitucional. Naquela data tomou também posse como Vice-Presidente o Conselheiro Pedro Machete, que igualmente permanecerá nestas funções até à tomada de posse do seu sucessor após 1 de Outubro de 2021, quando completou o seu mandato como Juiz do Tribunal Constitucional. - Конституційний су́д Португалії (порт. Tribunal Constitucional) — спеціалізований орган конституційного контролю в Португалії. Діє на підставі Закону про Конституційний Суд № 28/82 від 15 листопада 1982 року. Суд складається із 13 суддів, 10 з яких обираються Асамблеєю Республіки (Парламент), що обираються більшістю в 2/3 голосів. Інші 3 члени кооптуються вже обраними суддями. З 13 суддів, 6 мають бути обрані серед суддів загального суду, решта повинні мати, як мінімум, юридичну освіту. Судді КС призначаються на 9 років та не можуть бути призначені на другий термін. Суддям КС гарантовано незалежність, незмінність та імунітет. Голова обирається самими суддями зі свого складу. Конституційний суд Португалії може за клопотанням Президента, Прем'єр-Міністра, генерального прокурора, а також у зв'язку з рішенням будь-якого суду у конкретній справі визнати таким, що суперечить Конституції, будь-який нормативний акт. Йому можуть бути передані на розгляд закони, що приймаються Парламентом, урядові декрети та інші акти центральних органів влади та адміністративних областей. Окрім традиційних повноважень (перевірка конституційності законів, нератифікованих міжнародних договорів; попереднє затвердження конституційності референдумів), Конституційний Суд має повноваження щодо здійснення контролю за майновим становищем чиновників, відповідністю Конституції і законністю статутів політичних партій, реєстрація та перевірка банківських рахунків політичних партій.
