- El 16 de desembre de 2007 es van celebrar eleccions parlamentàries anticipades al Kirguizistan. Les eleccions van ser convocades pel Kurmanbek Bakiev després que el referèndum constitucional del 21 d'octubre de 2007 aprovés un nou sistema electoral i propostes de reforma constitucional, ampliant el parlament a 90 diputats i introduint la votació per llistes de partits. Tras un referéndum constitucional controvertido, se aprobó una nueva constitución que establecía un parlamento con 90 concejales y la introducción de un sistema de listas electorales. - Aus den vorgezogenen Parlamentswahlen in Kirgisistan vom Dezember 2007 ging die Präsidentenpartei Ak Dschol als große Gewinnerin hervor: Bei einer Wahlbeteiligung von offiziell 73,86 % erreichte sie mehr als 45 % der Stimmen und erhielt dafür 71 der 90 Parlamentssitze. Offizielles Ergebnis der Parlamentswahlen vom 16. Dezember 2007: (Die Prozentzahl bezieht sich auf das Total der Wahlberechtigten.) Aus Sicht der OSZE waren die Wahlen indes weder fair noch frei: Kirgisistan habe eine Reihe von Verpflichtungen nicht eingehalten und damit eine Gelegenheit verpasst, das Land auf dem Weg zur Demokratie einen Schritt voranzubringen. Die folgenden mutmaßlichen Manipulationen hatten Auswirkungen:
* Die Oppositionspartei Ata Meken kam zwar landesweit auf über 8 % der Stimmen, erhielt aber im Stadtbezirk Osch nur 590 statt der nötigen 670 Stimmen. Sie scheiterte somit an der 0,5-Prozent-Klausel, wonach eine Partei in jedem Oblast und in den Städten Bischkek und Osch mindestens 0,5 % der Stimmen erreichen muss. Ata Meken versuchte erfolglos vor Gericht zu beweisen, dass sie die erforderliche Stimmenzahl deutlich übertroffen hatte.
* Um die Präsidentenpartei nicht als einzige Partei ins Parlament einziehen zu lassen, wurden die Kommunistische Partei und die Sozialdemokratische Partei Kirgisistans auf über 5 % gehievt. Nach Auszählung von 95 % der Wahllokale lagen die Parteien noch bei etwa 3 %. Als Resultat der Parlamentswahlen war abzusehen, dass die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Parlament und Präsident ohne größere Konflikte ablaufen werde. (de)
- Wybory parlamentarne w Kirgistanie odbyły się 16 grudnia 2007 po rozwiązaniu starego parlamentu przez prezydenta Kurmanbeka Bakijewa. Wybory odbywały się według nowej ordynacji wyborczej i po zmianach w konstytucji (referendum październikowe). Według przedwyborczych sondaży największe szanse na zwycięstwo miały proprezydencka koalicja Ak Żoł (Świetlista Droga) na czele z Ludowym Ruchem Kirgistanu, a oprócz niej opozycyjna Ata Meken (Socjalistyczna Partia "Ojczyzna") na czele z byłym szefem parlamentu Omurbekiem Tekebajewem. Według powyborczych sondaży exit pollis koalicja proprezydencka uzyskała 63,4% głosów. Do parlamentu weszły: opozycyjny ruch i . Poza parlamentem znajdzie się Ata Meken. Jednak po przeliczeniu głosów przez komisję wyborczą okazało się, że do parlamentu wszedł tylko blok prezydencki (inne partie nie pokonały progu wyborczego 5%). Sąd Najwyższy zakwestionował ordynację wyborczą. (pl)

- Досрочные выборы депутатов Жогорку Кенеша прошли в Киргизии 16 декабря 2007 года. Все депутаты избирались по партийным спискам. Для прохождения в парламент им нужно было набрать не менее 5 % голосов, а также не менее 0,5 % голосов в каждой из девяти областей страны. (ru)
