- ثورة بارزان الثانية أو حركة بارزان الثانية هي ثورة قادها الملا مصطفى البارزاني ضد الحكومة العراقية في عام 1943 للحصول على حكم ذاتي للأكراد وكانت قد سبقتها 1931-1932 و حركات محمود البرزنجي في السليمانية بين عامي 1919 و1931. ولقد أستمرت الثورة التي قادها مصطفى البارزاني حتى عام 1945 فعندها قررت الحكومة العراقية في بغداد القضاء عليها، ووقعت اشتباكات مسلحة مابين الطرفين مابين شهر آب/أغسطس لغاية شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر من العام نفسه حيث إستطاعت القوات العراقية من إلحاق الهزيمة بالقوات الكردية وتمكنت قوات الجيش العراقي من دخول قرية بارزان وطاردت المسلحين الأكراد إلى قرية كاني رش القريبة من الحدود التركية.تبعت هذه العمليات و في نهاية عام1947. - The 1943–1945 Barzani revolt was a Kurdish nationalistic insurrection in the Kingdom of Iraq, during World War II. The revolt was led by Mustafa Barzani and was later joined by his older brother Ahmed Barzani, the leader of the previous Kurdish revolt in Iraq. The revolt, initiating in 1943, was eventually put down by the Iraqi assault in late 1945, combined with the defection of a number of Kurdish tribes. As a result, the Barzanis retreated with much of their forces into Iranian Kurdistan, joining the local Kurdish elements in establishing the Republic of Mahabad. (en)
