At the onset of this year, amid one of the harshest Nordic winters in recent memory, Cubenergy delivered a BESS project under extraordinary conditions. During deployment, our Europe-based Field Service Engineers (FSEs) demonstrated proactive preparedness. When temperatures abruptly plunged to -25°C, the team conducted critical onsite fine-tuning to ensure uninterrupted operation throughout the extreme weather event. Cubenergy deployed a 10MW/20MWh grid-forming BESS in a remote region of Nordic Europe characterized by a weak and intermittently unstable grid. The project is configured with advanced grid-forming capabilities, including Virtual Synchronous Generator(VSG) functionality to provide synthetic inertia, dynamic voltage regulation, and fast frequency response. Commissioned in under 3 months, it completes installation, integration with local SCADA, and grid compliant testing.
