Class Arrangements during Typhoons or Rainstorms

 

Tropical Cyclone’s

Suspension of classes

• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted at or after 7 a.m., classes taken in the morning will be suspended.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted at or after 10 a.m., classes taken at noon will be suspended.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted at or after 1 p.m., classes taken in the afternoon will be suspended.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted at or after 4 p.m., classes taken in the evening will be suspended.
• If students are already at school when Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted, they should stay on campus for safety.
• The University will reschedule tests and examinations suspended to a later date and reschedule or cancel extra-curriculum activities. The new schedule is subject to the university’s notice.

 

Class resumption

• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 is cancelled before 7 a.m., classes taken in the morning will be held as scheduled.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 is cancelled before 10 a.m., classes taken at noon will be held as scheduled.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 is cancelled before 1 p.m., classes taken in the afternoon will be held as scheduled.
• If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 is cancelled before 4 p.m., classes taken in the evening will be held as scheduled.

 

Rainstorm warning

Suspension of classes

• If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued or hoisted between 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., morning classes will be suspended.
• If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued or hoisted between 10 a.m. to 12 noon., classes taken at noon will be suspended.
• If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued or hoisted between 1 p.m.to 3 p.m., afternoon classes will be suspended.
• If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued or hoisted at 4:00 p.m., evening classes will be suspended.
• If students are already at school when Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, they should stay there for safety.
