As a founder, tackling the challenge of innovative data sharing between businesses is no easy feat. That's why I was thrilled to discover a recent PYMNTS.com article (https://lnkd.in/eUVjEjzQ) perfectly capturing the exciting evolution in the data collection market. Two quotes in particular resonated deeply: "Suppliers and buyers are pushing for faster, more seamless experiences. Suppliers need onboarding to proceed swiftly to begin fulfilling orders — and receiving payments. Buyers, meanwhile, want reassurance that suppliers meet operational, financial and compliance standards before proceeding." - Pymnts.com, Nov 20, 2024 ☝ This is spot on! Anyone in my network can tell you onboarding and data collection from partners is a slow and arduous process. Many companies face internal delays of weeks or even months before new partners can even begin working. As my insightful former colleague, Chris Jameson from Bank of America, pointed out: "A lot of clients are challenged by integration with legacy systems, and digital adoption isn't always consistent across different geographic regions." Exactly! Updating legacy systems for new data fields is a costly and time-consuming nightmare, even for data constantly requested by partners. Though its late in 2024, I am going to make a prediction for 2025 and beyond: Data wallets for businesses will be integral for storing important documents, revoking data, and sharing information with other business partners! Any doubters?
