RPP Model Trends Across Technology Nodes for the MC Simulation of SEUs in Commercial Bulk Planar CMOS SRAMs Under Proton Irradiation / Şerban, Alexandra-Gabriela (CERN ; Bucharest U. ; Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Coronetti, Andrea (CERN ; IES, Montpellier ; Unlisted, DE) ; García Alía, Rubén (CERN) ; Salvat-Pujol, Francesc (CERN)
The ubiquitous use of electronic devices in high-radiation environments requires robust methods for assessing and improving their resilience against single-event effects (SEEs) and, especially, single-event upsets (SEUs). In this study, SEU production induced by protons below 500 MeV in three commercial bulk planar static random access memories (SRAMs) manufactured on different standard CMOS technology nodes (from 250 to 40 nm) is investigated employing the Monte Carlo (MC) particle-transport code FLUKA. Complex Impedance of the LHC Main Dipole Magnet in the Presence of Artificial Short Circuits / Janitschke, M (CERN ; U. Rostock) ; Ravaioli, E (CERN) ; Verweij, A P (CERN) ; Willering, G (CERN) ; van Rienen, U (U. Rostock)
Interturn short circuits inside the coil-winding pack of superconducting magnets can lead to severe damage to the magnet during a quench or fast current ramps. Investigating their impact and finding ways to detect these nonconformities could save considerable run-time of an accelerator. [...]

In this work we address the shift from Low Temperature Superconductor (LTS) to High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) magnets presently occurring in the development of machines for controlled thermonuclear fusion with magnetic confinement. This shift implies several new challenges, which cannot be ignored in the design and modelling of the future HTS magnets. [...]

Beam separation dipole magnets (D1 magnet, MBXF) will be installed on both sides of two interaction points (ATLAS and CMS) for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider upgrade (HL-LHC). High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) is responsible for delivering one full-scale prototype and six series production cold masses to the HL-LHC project. [...]

A test rig to study heat transfer of sCO2 at CERN / Pedano Medina, Camila Rocio (KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE)) ; Gleissle, Susanne (Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (DE)) ; Petagna, Paolo (CERN)
In high-energy physics (HEP) detectors and modern electronics, thermal management is critical to ensure reliable, long-term operation. Increasing power densities, compact geometries, and stricter environmental regulations are driving the need for efficient, low-GWP cooling solutions [...]
