Glueball 2-Track Analysis

Creators

Contributors

Description

The analysis focuses on the search for glueball candidates using two-track events in the CMS and TOTEM experiments at CERN. Glueballs are theoretical particles predicted by quantum chromodynamics, consisting purely of gluons. This study aims to simplify the event analysis by selecting two-track events, reducing background noise, and applying various cuts to analyze charge distribution, pseudorapidity, azimuthal asymmetry, and transverse impact parameters. Key results include the identification of patterns that may be associated with glueball formation, though further analysis is needed for confirmation.
