Here's how a psychologist really influences coach and player recruitment Alex Auerbach Ph.D., MBA was part of the Toronto Raptors' exec leadership team, interviewing candidates during the side's search for a head coach in 2022/23 Spoke to him about the role he played and the impact of the advice he offered (as well as looking at some of the lessons for other clubs) Here's a little snip from our chat: “My role was to do much like I did in the draft, which was to assess the person and help unpack questions such as, 'What behaviors might we see from this person? What do they value?
