Fear and desire are the most common ones. Say you are a therapist specializing in relationship issues for adults 25+, how would you tap into those emotions? Your pores will ooze cortisol as a solopreneur if you don’t build a strong community: it's why I keep going 2 years ago I became a biz owner. Zero clients. No defined niche. Plus no like-minded community. Selling my soul to low-paying clients on freelance marketplaces. Only to end up resenting the work I was doing. I knew there had to be better for me: 🤌 Higher-paying clients 🤌 Doing work that deeply fulfilled me 🤌 Projects that didn't take hours for low pay So as a chronically online girly, I took to finding a social platform where I could connect with people in the same boat as me. Thought about Instagram but was too nervous to post video content. Played with Twitter but it wasn't my cup of tea. (they're another breed over there) Then I decided to give LinkedIn a try despite my fear of it being too corporate. And BOY was I happy to be wrong. LinkedIn is where all the cool and supportive business owners hang out. We have a few obnoxious gurus in the LinkedIn world too 🤭 but it's an AMAZING platform overall. During my time here I have learned so much about: → Building a successful sustainable business → Connecting with so many lovely people → Landed one super sweet client LinkedIn is the place to be if you want to learn to listen to your heart, grow your business, and make the BEST friends along the way... Newsflash: Solopreneurship creates more problems than it solves in the beginning 👉 Obliterated life-work balance 👉 Suppressed limiting beliefs popping up 👉 Trouble generating enough clients to make money It's enough trouble to make you want to pull your hair out. Maybe enough to make you reach into your skull looking for more to pull. As a solopreneur myself I pull one strand at a time to be safe 🤭 Since trying to get my business off the ground this is what my life has been like: → Thinking of growth strategies 24/7 → Grappling with an abundance of limiting beliefs → Struggling to meet financial goals for my business Despite what the gurus say it's REAL out in these solopreneurship streets. Real enough to make you consider going back to the "safety" of your 9-5. Unless you entangle yourself with a guide. Someone who's been where you are before. A guide who truly wants to help you succeed. Which is what has been SO transformational for me on my journey. Now my solopreneurship world looks more like this: 👏 Not obsessing over business as much 👏 Taming ALL those limiting beliefs Still working on nailing down those financial goals.
