#GenerativeAI offers transformative opportunities for business model reinvention to create sustained outcomes and build trust. 💡 It is crucial to connect #GenAI roadmap with organizational strategy to realize the full potential of #GenAI capabilities for an organization. 💎 My PwC Canada partner, Adam Crutchfield, and I discuss this topic in this video. 🌟 Here is our actionable advice on how you can amplify and magnify value propositions of Generative AI for your organization: • Start with the "so what": Design and define the value propositions of use cases before diving into the technical build of those use cases. Ask, "What problem are we solving, and is Generative AI the right suite of capabilities for this?"  • Set clear metrics: Define what success looks like for your integrated GenAI solution from the start, with measurable goals that are relevant for your organization. This helps to ensure alignment across your organization.  • Engage all stakeholders: Bring in business leaders, compliance teams, and external partners from the beginning to create a well-rounded roadmap for Generative AI that has the acceptance and approval of your stakeholders.  • Adopt feedforward and feedback loops: Regularly review outcomes in view of your expectations and refine approaches based on real-world results with respect to your plans. I'm excited to share this news from the University of Toronto's Acceleration Consortium. A year ago IBM and Meta co-founded a global network, The AI Alliance, to help shape the future of open, safe, and responsible AI. A year later, there are over 140 organizations collaborating to advance safe, responsible AI rooted in open innovation. Today the Acceleration Consortium (AC), led by Alán Aspuru-Guzik, joins. It is a natural fit. Together the AI Alliance and the AC will develop trusted open-source AI tools and foundation models to accelerate scientific discovery. 🚀 Embracing Generative AI in the Workplace 🚀 As we enter 2025, I wanted to highlight our recent Canadian KPMG survey showing a significant increase in generative AI adoption among employees. Conducted in Q3 2024, it shows that 46% of workers now use generative AI, up from 22% the prior year. Notably, 65% were using it daily or several times a week, highlighting a growing comfort with AI technology, with over two-thirds of employees saving at least one hour of work per week, allowing them to focus on more creative tasks. However, despite this rapid adoption, only 18% of employees reported that their companies had formal policies regarding generative AI use and more concerning was only half of the respondents could verify the accuracy of AI-generated content. Regions like Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and British Columbia lead in AI adoption in Canada, but many companies still need to catch up on policies and education. KPMG's report can guide awareness of adoption, practical usage and controls for better decision-making and risk management in building an AI strategy that drives long-term business value.
