Connecting Irish Culture with Global Commerce, a B2B Economic Development Hub ☘️🌍

About us

We Are Global Irish Inc. is a private sector B2B Economic Development Corporation showcasing and connecting the best of Irish innovation businesses and organisations on the island of Ireland and across the globe. Introduced in February 2024, we drive opportunities to and from the island of Ireland, the Irish abroad , the diaspora and those interested in Irish products and services. We facilitate networking, collaboration, commerce, and the exchange of knowledge within the international Irish community. A single root with global reach. Irish people and culture have spread across the world. Irish families put down roots in every corner of the globe. They made friends, had families, who passed their Irish culture on to their children, and their children’s children. Lives were lost to the famine and, to severe hardship when they landed on foreign shores. Despite the hardships, they persevered, worked hard, started businesses, and left their mark wherever they settled. At We Are Global Irish, we help foster relationships to benefit those roots. Join the We Are Global Irish Community showcase and celebrate what makes your business uniquely Irish. We Are Global Irish was created as a unique centralised source to connect with and support economic growth and opportunities for the Irish abroad and those who identify with Irish heritage over the generations. We connect with and help brand Irish and Irish Diaspora products, services, sports, cultural and tourism organisations across the globe.

  • A New Challenge for the Irish Global Community 🌍 The recent decision by US President Donald Trump to withdraw support for the OECD global tax agreement presents a significant challenge for Ireland. With potential retaliatory measures against countries hosting US multinationals, a key pillar of Ireland's economy—foreign direct investment (FDI)—faces uncertainty. Multinationals contributed over €39 billion to the Irish economy in corporate tax last year, making them a vital source of state revenue. While Ireland has successfully attracted global businesses with its competitive tax policies, there is now a need to adapt to a rapidly shifting global landscape. This is a pivotal moment for Ireland. Now more than ever, as a global community, we need to activate the untapped potential of our global diaspora—70+ million people with Irish heritage around the world. From entrepreneurs and innovators to investors and leaders, our diaspora can play a critical role in driving economic diversification and building resilience in the face of change. In facing a new international challenge, We Are Global Irish Inc stands to connect and empower the Irish global community across the world, building a global bridge to new connections and supporting Irish businesses and organisations around the globe. 🔗 Join our Global Network today: Weareglobalirish.com Hilary T Beirne | #US #GlobalDiaspora #IrelandEconomy #FDI #Network #Leadership #Resilience #Future #Community #Global

  • Happy Pancake Tuesday! 🥞 ☘️ In #Ireland, Pancake Tuesday is more than just an excuse to enjoy a delicious treat—it’s a tradition with deep historical and cultural significance. Also known as Shrove Tuesday, this day marks the eve of Lent, a period of fasting and reflection in the Christian calendar. For generations, Irish households have observed this day by using up rich ingredients like eggs, milk, and butter before the Lenten fast began. Lent is a time of strict abstinence, with meat forbidden and meals reduced to the bare essentials—often just potatoes, without butter or milk. Pancakes became a practical and symbolic way to prepare for the season of sacrifice. While modern Ireland may no longer observe Lent with the same strictness, the tradition of flipping pancakes on Shrove Tuesday remains strong. Families across the country still gather to make and share pancakes, keeping alive a custom that has been passed down through generations. As we mark another Pancake Tuesday, it’s a reminder of Ireland’s connection to its past—one that blends faith, tradition, and of course, food. 🥞 How does your family celebrate Pancake Tuesday? Do you stick to the classic lemon and sugar, or do you get creative with your toppings? #PancakeTuesday #ShroveTuesday #IrishTraditions #Lent
